For the first time we can get a feel for where everything will be. Still feels small though! Grrr Oh and the roof trusses also arrived today so with any luck we may have a completed frame by Xmas that would be a great Xmas present! Christmas break is over! Boo! Rain! The carpenters were back on site today they got a lot done considering how much rain we have had today. We are finally seeing the full picture with the roof framing starting! They have also started putting the bracing in as well not much progress but great to see after waiting two weeks with no changes Fingers crossed rain stays away and we can see a completed roof frame by the weekend! They still have the front and rear and the main living raked to so should look good! Hoping maybe roof be completed as early as tomorrow. Re: Our semi acreage 'Forever House' Build - Roof Framing! 97Jan 09, 2015 1:51 pm Had a quick look this morning, the roof trusses are taking 1-2 days longer than expected apparently they are quite complex. Apparently the whole frame has been complex?.. Didn't grab many pics will get some good ones on weekend but as now have roof trusses on Porte Cochere and Alfresco can finally see the big picture Here is a view from front door looking to road Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Our semi acreage 'Forever House' Build - Roof Framing! 99Jan 09, 2015 7:48 pm Met with the builder this morning just to go through a few questions and check some things.
The chippies were working hard to try get the roof completed but looks like will be another 1-2 days. Apparently windows are coming next week so that will be good to see the windows and doors in. Went back this afternoon and had a really good look around and took the first lot of decent pictures Here is the house from the right side showing garage: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The view from the road of the front: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ View from the master bedroom side from the front: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Looking from outside through the stacker doors into the media room Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Looking from inside the living room out to the alfresco through the twin stacker doors: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Looking from the rear on at the Alfresco from the media room side, Alfresco turned out better than I imagined!
