I'm ruthless when it comes to getting rid of stuff...If I haven't used something for 2-3 years, then it's gone. Re: Our semi acreage 'Forever House' Custom Build in Brisban 23Sep 24, 2014 11:07 am Re: Our semi acreage 'Forever House' Custom Build in Brisban 24Oct 01, 2014 10:40 am We have received the final working drawings to check over before being sent to the engineer.
Not many changes required so we are now good to go. One change we did make during the week was to delete the exposed eaves at the front, as these didn't wrap around the sides and weren't on the light box on the roof we felt they would look out of place and maybe even to busy any way. With the credit we received from that we have extended the Porte Cochere from 4800mm by 6000mm to 6000mm by 6000mm now allowing easier drive through access and ability to house 2 cars side by side if ever required. So glad we made that choice. We are pegging the house out tomorrow just to triple check placement and usability of Porte and garage entry then it's just the council approval waiting game New revised plan: http://www.photo-host.org/images/2014/10/01/MXeIkFi.jpg Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Our semi acreage 'Forever House' Custom Build in Brisban 25Oct 01, 2014 12:53 pm What colour will the garage door be? They seemed to go with every selection so hopefully they will look great on the floors, I'm hoping to continue them out to the alfresco and under the Porte Cochere after hand over to give the outside a seamless look with the inside. We now have to do sub surface dripper system instead of overhead sprayer system... bit more expensive and something we weren't expecting, our only consolation is at least it will look neater with no visible sprinklers in the effluent area like most other HSTP systems instead it will be installed underground and drip feed grass and garden area's.
