That wall you can see behind looks better; although that vent brick looks a bit strange. I guess there are all sorts of possibilities. If this is non-structural & it's being rendered, maybe it doesn't even matter whether it's acceptable from a strength point of view. If it IS structural and being rendered, then you do need to know whether it's acceptable. And regardless of whether it's structural or not, if that's not being rendered then it's shocking & is totally unacceptable. I am in the same situation, would you be able to give some insights in to this?
