The splashback is very glam Re: Coral homes daydream 30 at Logan Village 142Dec 10, 2014 8:16 pm Been so busy lately, unfortunately not moving in. They have been sooo slack over the last 3 weeks, hardly anything has been happening, there are a lot of small things that need to be fixed and a couple of larger ones but they don't seem too interested in getting it all done, very annoying as every time we talk to them all we get is excuses. You would think they would want their money but they don't seem to care one way or the other. Hope you get it all sorted soon. Are you still hoping to be in by Christmas? Re: Coral homes daydream 30 at Logan Village 144Dec 11, 2014 8:16 am That sucks jwbear. You'd think they'd want their final payment! Not news to most people, including me, I know, but still annoying as hell. So now I've got that out of the system, we are, believe it or not, going to finally get the keys tomorrow. Only about 2 weeks late but at least we are getting them and can move in, hopefully Friday. Having said that we are still not too happy with the final product and there will need to be some trades come in and fix a few things in the new year, but we have that in writing with some dates for it to happen so we are sort of ok with it. What can you do when you are so close and just want it to be done. Anyway, really looking forward to moving in, although now we have to do it ourselves because of the time of year there are no removalists available to do the moving, luckily we managed to get a truck, one of the last available to help us out, should be fun. Will let you all know when the fun is done. Pretty damn happy here. Julie Re: Coral homes daydream 30 at Logan Village 152Dec 19, 2014 7:26 am Such great news!! Congrats Building our first dream home in NSW Re: Coral homes daydream 30 at Logan Village 153Dec 26, 2014 7:54 am Merry Christmas everyone. It has been a busy week and that is an understatement. As you all know we got our keys on Thursday afternoon, straight from there we went and picked up the truck from the rental company, was going to get removalists to move us but couldn't get anyone this close to Christmas so ended up having to do it ourselves, Friday was a big day, 3 trips in the truck to get the majority of our stuff moved over, big thank you to my brother-in-law for all his great help and to my sister and our mum's and dad's for their help, could not have done it with out them. 2 beers that night and fell asleep on the couch, so tired. Then all we had to do was unpack it all, cannot believe how quickly Jane had this place looking awesome, stuff unpacked and put away. Do not know where she gets the energy from. Such a great group of neighbours we have here too, Christmas drinks and nibblies organised for everyone in the neighbourhood on the Sunday afternoon before Christmas, it was really good to get to meet all of them so soon after moving in. Back to work for 3 days this week then Christmas, wow it has flown by but is so nice to be in our new home. Really nice to have a day relaxing with both our families yesterday, needed that, and now back into getting us settled in. Will keep updating as we get more done. Hope everyone has a safe and happy Christmas. We went past our block on Christmas Day and noticed one home owner in our estate stage managed to move in before the big day too. Re: Coral homes daydream 30 at Logan Village 155Dec 27, 2014 6:28 pm Wow, sounds ridiculously busy right before Christmas but now at least you can relax Building our first dream home in NSW Re: Coral homes daydream 30 at Logan Village 156Mar 03, 2015 10:24 pm I'd love to see a pic of how you furnished your media room and the back deck if possible. Our Daydream 28 is almost built Re: Coral homes daydream 30 at Logan Village 157Apr 23, 2015 8:27 pm Hi all, I know it's been a while but have finally managed to get back onto here, last few months have been very full on and it doesn't look like slowing down any time soon. Have settled in really well here, still got stuff in boxes though and have loads to do in the yard. Started to landscape and lay some turf but still have a way to go. Will take some pics of where we are at and our progress so far and get them up here. So good to see everyone progressing with their builds. Looking forward to seeing your photos Re: Coral homes daydream 30 at Logan Village 160Apr 27, 2015 8:17 pm Going to slowly run through everything that has gone on for the past 4 months, After moving in the week before Christmas we had to wait until mid January for all the trades to get back to work. That meant no driveway and limited access to our garage. Finally got the drive done in mid January and had the shed slab laid at the same time, seemed the best way to get it done since the concretors were here anyway. Went for plain concrete, we liked the clean look of it and we can always decorate it later if we decide to but at the moment we are very happy with the way it is. There is another one at the bottom of the drive. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13745 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1766 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74688 |
