I remember you know lol Goolwa. Thank you. We did our driveway in Oct and just finished out front yard over xmas. Its coming along slowly lol Re: Simonds Avalon Adelaide 125Jan 16, 2015 6:20 pm I always get Goolwa and Gawler mixed up! They sound so similar! Re: Simonds Avalon Adelaide 127Jan 21, 2015 8:40 pm Cool and they do grow that big, can pick em up on gumtree quite often. Re: Simonds Avalon Adelaide 128Jan 22, 2015 7:50 pm Thanks bluesteel, great tip! Just checked it out and some are free if you can dig them out. Cool, but bit hard. Though mature palms can cost thousands. I'm still working on nagging Mr TC down to change the rollerdoor to 'timber'. He was adamant it had to be light. Light bricks (okay) light roof (okay) and light roller door ... blah blah blah I guess if my nagging doesn't work, we could ttint the front (western windows) which might look nicer as well as filter out some of the hot afternoon sun Re: Simonds Avalon Adelaide 129Jan 22, 2015 8:25 pm What about a door in jasper - mid range colour would suit your bricks? Re: Simonds Avalon Adelaide 131Jan 28, 2015 1:29 pm Keep nagging him TomCat!! They all cave eventually! That's my theory anyway The facade looks great! Re: Simonds Avalon Adelaide 132Jan 28, 2015 8:58 pm You've been busy TomCat! Love the mood board and those pendants are going to look gorgeous. The facade is lovely and I totally agree with you on the timber-look garage door. Don't give up, I'm sure Mr TC will see it your way eventually Roll on March for site start! Hilarious, Mr TC said he's not interested in colours, decor whatever ... "that's your bag" until it comes to outdoor "no point having a stinking hot garage for the sake of trendiness". I kind of agree with him, but heck I want to be excited coming home every night Yep, plans are in Council. Once approved, we're ready to go. Re: Simonds Avalon Adelaide 134Jan 28, 2015 9:13 pm Mr TC sounds like my hubby! Right from the start he told me he didn't care about colours etc but he managed to put his two cents in and then some. He even vetoed my idea of upgrading the exterior to full bricks. No he said, let's keep the cladding to give the facade texture, contrast! Men! Yay for plans in council. Not long to go now.. That's my theory anyway The facade looks great! Tee hee. For some reason your link in your sig wont activate for me Charlie. I've tried it from Shielzy's, my and Cleo's threads now Re: Simonds Avalon Adelaide 136Jan 28, 2015 11:58 pm Hi Tom Cat. Congrats on getting into council, fingers crossed they pull there fingers out of there proverbial and you get the tick of approval quickly. If your starting in March (roughly) then we will be going at the same time. Our stupid land still hasnt registered so we are thinking March for a start now. Good luck getting Mr Tomcat onside with the garage door, Mr Tribe said the same thing about not selecting anything and he ended up picking most of the colours for our house. Re: Simonds Avalon Adelaide 137Jan 29, 2015 12:04 am Haha, why dont we just tie them to a cactus and paint them with honey gotta check out your thread ... Goodie, another yummy Metricon build to dribble over! Re: Simonds Avalon Adelaide 138Jan 29, 2015 9:23 am Hi TomCat, congrats on getting into Council!!
