What comes first WIR or Carpets?

I'm planning on having a built in walk in robe - what comes first tho? The built in cupboards or the carpets?

My builder did WIR fit out then laid the carpet but a lot of people do either or both of those things after handover so I suppose it can be done either way.

I put in robes a year or so later, had no issues. But... when we changed the carpet, I don't think the door slid as well afterwards as the track was laid with carpet underneath but when the carpet was replaced, it was no longer under the track.

Either are probably acceptable but I'd go robes first.

The walk in robe would need to be built well before the carpet goes in.
