Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 25, 2014 11:31 pm Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone is currently in the process of building their Porter Davis Rochford 34 home? Was hoping if someone was kind enough to share their options selected and corresponding prices to give us an idea of what things cost I know it's best to sit down with a consultant but don't plan to for at least another few months to allow us time to figure out what we want exactly (such a painful process). So having prices for options specifically for the Rochford 34 would be of huge help! Thanks all, and if no one replies I guess I could just refer to the general porter davis options price list in the other ongoing thread although prices may vary greatly in comparison to this floor plan. I've just done contract for the Hoffman (so same Lifestyle range), quoted on three others are various times, and can probably give you a ballpark idea of some things. Land settled May '14. Building the PD Hoffman39: 5/11=site start, 13/11=slab pour, 26/11=frame complete, 10/12=roof on, 12/12=bricking started. I'm not too concerned about the small ticket items as we are mainly trying to only get things that can't be done after hand over. But to be specific, I wanted to find out if anyone could give me a rough ballpark figure on: 1. The open riser staircase including the glass... In the Rochford the glass would extend up and around the first floor as well but a rough estimate would be great, it's the one in this picture: http://www.porterdavis.com.au/~/media/H ... rop=1&as=1 2. Big square tiles similar to the look of these ones to the bottom floor excluding theatre/study: (if we do it after, is it just concrete?) http://www.porterdavis.com.au/~/media/H ... rop=1&as=1 3. Cost to add an alfresco with standard roof and either tiles/pavement stones... + the Rochford has the option to add a Terrace on top of the alfresco, I can't seem to google my way towards any pricings for the terrace... (trying to figure out whether it's worth getting the Terrace, at this stage it's very dependent on the cost). Based on what we want, I believe those 3 will cost the most, besides the glass balcony facade which I already have a price for so make that 4 big ticket items! Grrrrrr Re: Porter Davis Rochford 34 - Anyone building or in the pro 4Aug 26, 2014 4:39 pm un4giv dragonchild Not building the Rochford, but what sort of options are you talking about? Grrrrrr Not sure about that specific staircase, but I do know the Classic Option 2 staircase is $2500 extra and the Classic Option 3 staircase is about $3800 extra. These aren't all glass, so I'd expect the glass option to be much more expensive. With regards to the Alfresco options, the grand alfresco is about $7500 and the alfresco is about $10300. Ah, found out the stair case we are after is contemporary stair case Option 2 with glass panels. As for the alfresco, I'm confused about your reply, do you mean the grand is 10.3K and the standard is 7.5k? (excluding the slabs?) We are planning on adding a standard alfresco to the Rochford34 along with a terrace on top. Would be awesome if someone could give me a rough idea on how much each of those 2 would cost! Also, anyone got pricing on those aluminium square set reveal picture windows 1800mm x 1800mm? Re: Porter Davis Rochford 34 - Anyone building or in the pro 6Aug 31, 2014 9:03 pm Grand alfresco is wide and short (about 6m wide by 2.5m long) - $7500 Alfresco is not quite as wide, but much longer (about 4.5m) - $10300 I did work out the cost per sqm is better on the alfresco compared to the grand alfresco. I don't have the exact measurements to hand, but they're something like this. I can sort them out if you want them. Your sales consultant should also be able to give you them. We also questioned the use of the word 'grand' applying to the smaller alfresco. Re: Porter Davis Rochford 34 - Anyone building or in the pro 7Jun 04, 2016 12:10 am Did anyone build a rochford 34? Just wanted to check if your 1st floor elevation A(garage side) had brickwork or rendered cement board as standard? We are being charged extra 6k to have this bricked as the standard build was just cement board. Is this right?
