Those laundry tiles are beautiful! I love them. Re: Smart Homes Build 124Jun 10, 2015 7:37 pm Went past the house today and was forced to park in the driveway as next door had SEVEN tradies working on their grey float so their cars lined the street. Not surprisingly, the whole house has been done in one day. Fencing contractor has told me that he will be around to put the fencing in tomorrow! Gypsyhabitat So so close, it must be so good to see all of your selections come together! It does feel good to see the colour come together and not clash. Although I am starting to get a little but worried about my black pendant lights for the kitchen. MalSannie It looks beautiful - I love that door handle! Can't be far off PCI now, Justin was right Thanks MalSannie, and they're even one of the standard options. Everyday I hope they call me with a PCI date but I don't want to call and ask for one. JustinInPerth Whoooop whoooop looks amazing! A clean makes such a big difference! One step closer to PCI!! It does make make a huge difference, although she hasn't finished yet. It still seems so strange that we're going to be living in this house. jlo1990 what colour is the wall? It looks nice! Thanks It is a tad darker in the photo but I believe it is taubmans stonington beige half. The theatre is the same colour but double strength. Hootie Nice wall colour and I like the kitchen laminate, goes well with the stone top! Thanks Hootie! I really wanted to avoid white and wood look was the only other option I liked. I feel like ti looks grey up close but I try to ignore that. Lozel What a great build. Those laundry tiles are beautiful! I love them. Thanks Lozel! Every time I see them I fall in love with them again. Who knows, maybe I will actually want to do the washing now. Re: Smart Homes Build 125Jun 10, 2015 7:39 pm Following! Re: Smart Homes Build 130Jun 13, 2015 6:59 pm I think you could phone them to ask for a PCI date - it can't hurt Re: Smart Homes Build 131Jun 14, 2015 12:57 am MalSannie I think you could phone them to ask for a PCI date - it can't hurt I emailed my CLO on Thursday and received an automated reply saying she wouldn't be back into the office until Monday. I got a little bit sn*aky on Friday and rung up trevors carpets to see when the builder had booked the carpet in for. Friday at 9am! But now my question is what is there to do at the house all week? All we need is the garage door and fly screen. Fencing structure went in on Friday and I'm not impressed. It is not level at all down the bottom in many place Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Surely they could have moved the sand from underneath ??? Re: Smart Homes Build 132Jun 16, 2015 3:51 am Wow, everything is looking great! I can't believe how fast your build has gone? Have you been able to sort out your fencing yet? And any news on PCI date yet, hopefully its soon Our build - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=74793 Re: Smart Homes Build- PCI next week 133Jun 26, 2015 9:23 pm Hey guys, My apologies for my recent lack of activity. It's been a pretty tough couple of weeks here. In regards to the house, since my last update the carpet and garage door have been installed. That's all that has happened in two weeks! I have been told by my CLO that PCI won't be until late next week as there is a scratched bench top that needs replacing. They are also yet to complete the other outstanding issues I have brought to their attention. I am a school teacher so to have keys during the holidays would be great as it means I wouldn't have to take time off work. At this stage if PCI is late next week then 10 working days until keys means I wont get keys until late into the second week of holidays. Plus i still have to get the flooring done, LED's throughout, glass splashback in kitchen, soak wells as well as move in. Im desperately hoping that it doesn't take then 10 working days from PCI. On top of trying to pack my I will now have a rental inspection during the first week of holidays. I told them i will be moved out by the end of my lease(3rd of August) so i feel that this is completely unnecessary. Just something else that I will have to stress over. The fencing people did sort the fence our and now i have a beautiful straight fence. All in all, hasn't been the best two weeks Re: Smart Homes Build 134Jun 28, 2015 1:53 am Oh no MBW - how unfortunate Can understand that you'd be upset about this. And would the letting agents/owner not let you off if you ask nicely re the extra inspection? Maybe ask to speak to the owner directly? I hope they fix things sooner rather than later so you can have more time to move during the holidays. Re: Smart Homes Build 135Jun 29, 2015 12:01 pm Hi MBW - did you find stormwater disposal for 4k from SH was cheaper done when you get your keys by doing your own soakwells? How about footpath crossovers? Have you or any other smart home owners find this is easier to get a brickie to do post handover? Re: Smart Homes Build 136Jun 29, 2015 12:09 pm MalSannie Oh no MBW - how unfortunate Can understand that you'd be upset about this. I hope they fix things sooner rather than later so you can have more time to move during the holidays. I'm definitely planning on it. I'm just over building now. I just want to be in tbe house. Hopefully I get my PCI date this week SaberX Hi MBW - did you find stormwater disposal for 4k from SH was cheaper done when you get your keys by doing your own soakwells? How about footpath crossovers? Have you or any other smart home owners find this is easier to get a brickie to do post handover? Hi SaberX, I have still not contracted anyone to so my soak wells. I was given a quote for around $3000 (I think) which is a huge saving on the 6k smart homes quoted me. The builder will be doing my footpath crossover as its just less mucking around in the end. Feel free to PM me with any more questions you may have. Re: Smart Homes Build 137Jun 29, 2015 1:11 pm Hi MBW, Fast response! That's a decent saving. I was quoted 4k but i guess it may proportionately decrease by diy given you've originally had 6k quoted. I'm a bit greenie when it comes to building but thought a cross over was done by a brickie and so you just needed to get the same brick batch number as your driveway to have the same extra bricks delivered. Or alternatively your pavers? Guess for your sake you want in asap whereas i have a good 6 monthd before id rent it out post handover to org these things. Was more curious if the cost savings were worth it and of comparable cost. I have a few other questions as im desperately trying to decide on smart homes vs celebrations by tonight. Im at work now but will pm as soon as i can work out how to via tapatalk app. Thanks! Re: Smart Homes Build 138Jun 29, 2015 4:23 pm Oh millbridge sorry that they are taking so long! I really hope they are able to sort things out and help you out in a speedy fashion! Keep positive! Soon you will be in and all smiles! Keep positive! Soon you will be in and all smiles! Thanks Justin Finding that it's a bit of a struggle to stay positive. I'm really hoping it's sooner rather than later Re: Smart Homes Build 140Jul 02, 2015 6:32 pm Quick update: Still no PCI date despite what we were told last week. Only thing that has happened are minor paint touch ups. Why must they drag their feet!? I ran into trouble finding a lock that would fit my particular door, like your situation with your pivot door. I wanted a safe lock that couldn't be messed with easily. 4 25683 We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds.
