And would the letting agents/owner not let you off if you ask nicely re the extra inspection? Maybe ask to speak to the owner directly? I hope they fix things sooner rather than later so you can have more time to move during the holidays. I'm definitely planning on it. I'm just over building now. I just want to be in tbe house. Hopefully I get my PCI date this week SaberX Hi MBW - did you find stormwater disposal for 4k from SH was cheaper done when you get your keys by doing your own soakwells? How about footpath crossovers? Have you or any other smart home owners find this is easier to get a brickie to do post handover? Hi SaberX, I have still not contracted anyone to so my soak wells. I was given a quote for around $3000 (I think) which is a huge saving on the 6k smart homes quoted me. The builder will be doing my footpath crossover as its just less mucking around in the end. Feel free to PM me with any more questions you may have. Re: Smart Homes Build 137Jun 29, 2015 12:11 pm Hi MBW, Fast response! That's a decent saving. I was quoted 4k but i guess it may proportionately decrease by diy given you've originally had 6k quoted. I'm a bit greenie when it comes to building but thought a cross over was done by a brickie and so you just needed to get the same brick batch number as your driveway to have the same extra bricks delivered. Or alternatively your pavers? Guess for your sake you want in asap whereas i have a good 6 monthd before id rent it out post handover to org these things. Was more curious if the cost savings were worth it and of comparable cost. I have a few other questions as im desperately trying to decide on smart homes vs celebrations by tonight. Im at work now but will pm as soon as i can work out how to via tapatalk app. Thanks! Re: Smart Homes Build 138Jun 29, 2015 3:23 pm Oh millbridge sorry that they are taking so long! I'm really hoping it's sooner rather than later Re: Smart Homes Build 140Jul 02, 2015 5:32 pm Quick update: Still no PCI date despite what we were told last week. Only thing that has happened are minor paint touch ups. Why must they drag their feet!? We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds. The quote above was purely for “pre-wiring” so the blinds company can install the motors and blinds. That’s why we… 5 16287 Shelly switches require a paid subscription for full access to all features which is ridiulous given the lifespan of a home and if you were to sell it or buy a home with… 2 4536 Thank you so much everyone.
