Hi dsellars. Wow....all looking fab...excited yet?!! Dumb question..hahaha! You can finally see all your choices coming together. Exciting times!
Loving your kitchen. What is your kitchen stone called? I can't quite make it out on pictures.
It's really strange, i should be getting excited but we still aren't getting keys for another 2 months (In my mind, not official dates) so really cant get excited and I still cant imagine living there. You would have thought I would though since im paying the bills!!
This kitchen stone we got is called Absolute Stone and the colour is Dune. Looks really good with the 40mm thickness too!
We don't like the laminex we chose in the Ensuite either, it's too dark. Thankfully though the cost to change that after handover we have only been quoted $500.
Thinking this will look better

Haha I hope it was all good comments. More like I'm glad when their f**!?n build is finished :p
He told me you were having handover yesterday. Congratulations, bet it feels so nice to be finally in!
I'm hopeful we will get keys before the year is out. (Never building Again!!!)
All good things
We have keys but we are not 'in' have a few more things to achieve first move in day 26th Feb

We are doing a similar thing, flooring, air-conditioning and solar going in before we move in. Hoping to get the trades all aligned!
Had a quick trip to our street today and can't believe how much has been done in general to the whole street in just a few weeks (apart from the poor begger opposite us who still has his roof sitting on the ground).
And your house, well what can I say but agree with you it's looking marvelous and yes, what a lot of work done!
I know it's hard showing on a photo but I actually like all your laminex it all seems to flow seamlessly.
We've been told we'll be finished in 7weeks but I kind of doubt that....too much to do, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

Not wrong, it has progressed quite a bit down our street in the past few months. That's good as there wont be much construction happening when we all finally move in.
The house across the road from us though has been sold for so long but no construction work has even started. It's a bit worrying but hopefully wont affect us too much.
Ours is getting there finally, still lots to do. Most worrying thing is that appliances have started to go in now and the ceiling still hasnt been replaced. I hope when it does get fixed there is no damage to them.
Looking forward to returning tomorrow to see on the progress.
Out of interest, it seems our water meter has been stolen (as has most of the houses around us) shouldnt the building insurance cover this?
Am being told from Gemmill this is for us to pay. I spoke to another tradesmen today who thought Water Corp would pay for this. Just really not sure.
About 3 or 4 weeks ago we had our meter stolen and so did about 5 others on our street. It was a pain because our renderer needed to have water access. Our SS told the renderer to go to bunnings and buy a small plastic fitting which allowed him to use our water but he had to take it home each night in case that got stolen too.
We've since had our water meter replaced which is covered through Avelings building insurance. So no cost to us.
We've been told by other trades in the street that there is a 'black market' for these meters. Apparently people use them to fill their swimming pools and then they put their original meter back on. The brickie next to us said they watch for the security guy to come and then swoop on our buildings. Crazy stuff going on?!!
Forgot to say the block opp you on the corner has been put back on the market and is still for sale. You can see on LWP website.
Ah that would explain it then! Wondered what was happening with it.
I might have to buy that as well
Great progress DSellars!
You would have signed a form ( mine is bound in the contract) that mentions the water meter and that it is your property, they wont cover it I'm pretty sure, but you can always ask about the insurance side?
Looking good Dsellars love progress

Thanks Speedway, love your flooring, what is it? Looks similar to colour in ours but we ordered Karndean.
Thinking about making a final list of things to get done for the house similar to yours but worried it will be too long!!

The list helped me a bit, just have in mind what was left to do, rather than having it all floating around my head.
the flooring are vinyl planks i bought through work, the colour worked out better than i hoped.
looks great not long now!
If only that was the case speedway.
I still think 2 months before keys. So much to do still I think and not had any recent updates on dates yet.
Your floors look amazing by the way
