Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with GJ northern nsw- Locked up 461Aug 29, 2015 8:38 pm Indeed another one stalking here to see! How exciting Livpal! The big move, yay Re: Building with GJ northern nsw- Locked up 462Aug 29, 2015 9:31 pm Yeah i reckon about 8 weeks too tribe7 but dont want to get my hopes up in case something major holds us up. Thanks sail_away. How exciting for your mum. They have finished her house quick. Did she find many faults at pci? As soon as we are done i will posts pics. I had to keep busy this weekend because of my disappointment over no photos. Had to keep my house mojo up somehow. Hubby is more that happy to wait to put it together when we get up there but i just can't wait that long. Re: Building with GJ northern nsw- Locked up 463Aug 29, 2015 9:52 pm I think you will be fine for hold ups, all the work is inside now so you will be fine. That's why I fiddle around with things, it keeps the excitement happening and its stuff I won't have time to do once we move. Hahhaha yeap I'm the same, our garage looks like a warehouse of flat packed items, im busting to put it all together but have to wait , we are outta space Re: Building with GJ northern nsw- Locked up 464Aug 29, 2015 10:06 pm Yeah its highly unlikely that there will be hold ups, its more if another build slows down then it starts to impede on our build. But like i said i think its unlikely. I just cant get my head around the fact that it could be 8 weeks and i have a brand new house. Woo hoo. When is ur handover. U may have written it in ur thread but i missed it. I dont mind doing flat packs- my hubby hates them. Haha. Just like he hates painting but i quite enjoy it. In the end i tell him to stop painting as he starts ruining it. Re: Building with GJ northern nsw- Locked up 465Aug 29, 2015 10:16 pm Tribe7 is right - now the roof is on there shouldn't be too many hold ups if the weather turns bad etc. GJ work very efficiently and I have not heard of any hold ups with them at all, in fact they tend to come in earlier than they first say. There have been a few small mistakes along the way which my mum had picked up and they promptly corrected so when it got to pre-handover she had pretty much picked up on most things if any to fix. I think overall she has found it a very stress free & mostly exciting process. The GJ team really do care about their work and take pride in what they produce. I have ran into the director & his family down the beach one day and we were chatting for awhile about all sorts of things - they are very down to earth, caring & personable people which I think speaks volumes for their company. I'm sure you will be happy with your home & hopefully it all runs smoothly Re: Building with GJ northern nsw- Locked up 466Aug 29, 2015 10:36 pm Yeah we have spoken to him a few times now and he is fantastic. We had issues with the bank but he was so understanding. Wish your mum good luck for the move. Bet she will love living there. Might bump into you guys when we move up. Also excuse the photo bomber who had to get himself in every photo. Very intrigued he is!!! He was so interested in the table. And because its so close to the couch he can jump on. Haha. He is learning quickly that he cannot go on there. Occasionally he sneaks on. Thanks illaeria. Hope you settling to ur beautiful home. Such a blond sorry. Think i may discuss this with the builder before we pay. Dont think its enough work done considering its 20% of the overall house price. Anyway photos..... For us the wet area tiles, plastering, cabinets had to be in. I don't see the see them around, as I would love to ask how happy… 0 3197 Ideally you would engage a landscaper to give you some insight what they may need in the space to make your vision come to life… 1 13646 I ended up going with 'Andrew Belic Construction Co.' https://www.instagram.com/andrewbelicconstruction/ 2 59687 |
