Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 19, 2014 8:52 pm Hi guys, We are in the process of getting front wall and steps sorted for our newly constructed home. I looked at our plans and it has labeled "existing pipe trafficable lid to be done by builder" on a spot right where we plan to have some steps installed. We didn't realise anything was there as the builder had not installed a trafficable lid. The location is where "Sewer housing connection" is according to the developers sales plan. So i have dug down about half a meter and located a pipe with a cap on the end which is angled up facing towards the surface this is attached to an elbow piece and the pipe runs in the direction towards the side of my block. It still had a bit of watercorp caution tape identifying it as the sewer connection. I have located a sewer inspection point at the side of my house and this pipe seems to run to the same side of the house as that. Any ideas as to what the builder has done? Re: Unexpected pipe 3Aug 19, 2014 9:49 pm yeah it's bloody frustrating, it was dark tonight but i'm going to uncover it completely tomorrow.
