Hello,
After 1 year of looking for land SOR close to freeway which was over 500sqm and under our price range we finally settled in Whistling Grove (http://whistlinggrove.com.au) which is located within the Satterley Honeywood Estate catchment in Wandi WA. Our estate consists of only 2 stages and according to documentation will be absorbed into the Honeywood estate after a period of time. We have managed to secure a block in stage 1 of 510sqm with a 17m frontage and no angles. We are zoned for r30 and there is a BAL 12.5 on the block. Our block sits higher compared to the others blocks to the side and back of us which is good I guess as apparently there will be a stepdown wall and fencing ontop. I've been advised that there is going to be a strata complex behind our block I have no idea how they plan on doing it as the block behind us is only 610sqm (not sure what to make of this is this a bad thing? am i worrying about nothing?).
We don't receive titles until march next year so we have plenty of time to finalize who we are going to build with and plans. Im trying to read and learn as much as possible. We have some what of a idea for our plan however we are considering Dale Alcock, Ventura Homes and RedInk. There seems to be quite a few people building with RedInk which seems promising.
The earthworks for the estate is already underway so im sure ill be on countdown like everyone else on here waiting for titles and be excited to see simple things happen eg (ive never seen so many people get so enthusiastic about a water tap).
Is anyone else building in this Whistling Grove or Honeywood?
I'm so nervous as this is my first home and we havent even decided on a build plan and my mind is running a million miles an hour about not forgetting anything.
regards
sky
