Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 17, 2014 9:49 am Hi we are currently looking at building a Porter Davis home and would also like to put in a pool. Unfortunately once the house construction begins there will be no room to access the rear of the yard so we are thinking of doing the pool shell first. We are not sure which pool companies have worked alongside Porter Davis before so are looking for some advice. The space is quite small and the pool will need to abut the rear fence and be one metre off the completed house. We are concerned how this will affect the depth of the footings required for the house should the pool be done first. I other thought is to subcontract the pool construction out ourselves but once again are concerned with engineering comps required and extra cost involved from PD if the pool is in place before they begin. Booked in for a Nov start at this stage.
