Is there anyone building with MJH? We have hit an issue re: Double Garage on 12m wide block and looking to get some advise/speak with anyone going through the same issue..
When first speaking with the MJH sales agent we bought up the issue with not being able to fit a double garage on the block (as told by another builder) they insured us this was not an issue and it they will be able to do this for us - one of the top reasons we committed to building with them.
DCP signed off, contracts signed, plans submitted to council.
Now, they have come back to us advising the only way to get council approval for a double garage is to do a step/split in the slab (approx 20k) or we will have to settle for a single garage and or car port.
Original quote issued to us (& signed off) is therefore incorrect. Being first home buyers we are looking for advise as to whether it would be worth getting legal advise and going down that long road, or to pay the costs, avoid the stress and possibility of not getting this house we have put so much time and effort into planning.
