And the concretor could not even 100% confirm it, even though it had been 100% confirmed by Jandson that it was booked in for today. Funny that. Anyone who is up to concreting or who has had their concreting done as was/is thrilled witht the results - can you pls PM me with details about who did it? We will now be looking for a private concretor and possibly builder and will be opening a frustration of contract lawsuit against Jandson. Any help would be appreciated - so fed up with the slack service that has been provided. So what did Jandson say? are they blaming the concretor for the slab not being poured? if Jandson guaranteed that the slab would be poured today then there should of been no issue. Do Jandson actually have any genuine answers in response to your frustrations? Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 743Jun 02, 2015 3:07 pm I really feel for all of you guys building with jandson. There are other jandson slabs that have been poured already what is the hold up with yours it seems so unfair to you as they can do one but not the other very poor customer service Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 744Jun 02, 2015 3:20 pm No one ever advises us of any delays. I do all of the following up. I write down dates in my calendar for when I know things have been promised to occur and I follow up with the sub contractors on these dates and get told things like "Oh you've been booked in for this date - not this date" even after Jandson say it will happen on a certain date and tell us its" Booked and confirmed". Our plans came out of council on the 3rd March ... and nothing apart from excavation and peiring has been done since and that was completed and ready for a slab a month ago. The second delay was due to the bad weather that occurred weeks and weeks ago and it was rescheduled, but then then that rescheduled date was pushed back again because the concreter had a falling out with their crew and didn't tell anyone, and they couldn't keep up with the work they had on their plates. So basically we were pushed to the side, again, and left to chase everyone up about it. We requested another available concretor be assigned to our build - and were told this would be looked into. Obviously nothing has been done as we're still being looked after by the same sub contractors with the same issues. In the beginning I never even received return calls to my messages or emails to my emails. I work in Customer Service and would lose my job if I treated my customers they way we have been looked after. They've never given us anything in writing to confirm delays and that's written in our contract that they are to do so. Our finish date was given as the 15th October and this still hasn't even been revised even though there now a month behind in schedule. I think their either too stupid or scared to give us another date as we've told them back in 2013 we need to be in before the end of October. We are so fed up and frustrated. I would never recommend them again to anyone. They can assist you definitely. Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 756Jun 05, 2015 7:14 pm #JandsonHomesCanEatAD*** We had our electrical appointment today at 12pm so had the day off work to do that and then decided to pop out to site to check the progress of our form work as we were advised the slab would be going in tomorrow - and the ONLY exception to that would be caused to bad weather. It was a fine and sunny day today - for the most part - and not enough rain to warrant calling off the slab being poured - but it was ... and let me tell you why. After the plumbing had been installed and finished by around 10am today, no one stayed back 1 HOUR to take delivery of the waffle pods at 11am and install them in preparation for tomorrow. So the pods have been dumped half on our site and half on our neighbors (sorry!). We received the call today at 4:20 from the concrete supervisor or site supervisor - whatever - advising us that the slab would now be pushed back another week - maybe - as it had not been booked and confirmed (not that the phrase actually means anything anymore - it's all just bull**** now). It took a teary phone call from myself and a very explicit phone call to our co-coordinator who cannot coordinate - and a word with the director to come to an agreement that people would be on site tomorrow to get the waffle pod down and then the slab would be poured on Wednesday - again ... maybe. Frustration of contract law suit here we come - such a great way to spend our long weekend organizing. I would indefinably be questioning why NO ONE WAS ON SITE today to finish the job for you guys - as that should have been completed today also. The estate is wired for it. In fact one underground junction box is outside the front of our future home in Andrew Street. |
