Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 650May 14, 2015 11:23 am Hi SwiftonSwift, Is you piering happening today. If you visit the property in the evening kindly let me if there any updates on Lot 195 as well. thanks. Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 651May 14, 2015 12:34 pm andrew92 Cat83 Andrew your house looks like it's flying up! I hope Clarendon are that fast with ours when we get started. Hopefully not long now! Cat, Have you found out when you will be starting?? It has not taken long to get to where it is now but I call he site supervisor nearly everyday. To ensure that there is someone at the house doing stuff and scince I have been doing this thing have been moving a lot quicker how did you go with your rain water tank/bal rating with council There seems to be a massive shortage of brickies I spoke to him yesterday and said it could be weeks before we see any bricks getting laid which I was not happy about How did you go with your electrical appointment?? Hi Andrew, They have estimated that our file will go to construction on the 25th May or sooner. We reached a compromise on the water tank and are now having it installed underground as the best possible solution. We are just waiting on the new RWT drawings to be resubmitted to CDC and approved. They said it should take up to 5 days as the rest of the file has been checked and approved. The Bal rating was reassessed by a private certifier so hopefully this will be passed through CDC too. We went to the land on Sat and your home looks great! Can't wait to be at the same stage now. I'll take on board your advice about being in contact with the SS, as this seems a good idea. I'm really hoping we can be in before Christmas but I think i'm being too ambitious. Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 652May 14, 2015 12:36 pm littlemishka andrew92 Clarendon is good they are great with the paper work and. Quick to build Andrew92 & Cat which designs did you go with? I'd like to build with Clarendon but they're priced beyond our budget. Love their designs & communication appears good from sales office anyway. How did you find the rest of the process with them so far? They said 6mo paperwork then 6mo build so we wouldn't be in for at least 12mo. We are building the same as Andrew a Sheridan 34 with alfresco. We had to have a corner facade and modified a few windows and doors, but otherwise it is very much the standard floor plan. Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 653May 14, 2015 4:47 pm [quote="Bec23"]On the upside, our new builders, Xenith, have a long and positive history with all their suppliers and great customer reviews. Bec, Having trouble finding much on Xenith. Is it Xenith Homes or Xenith Construction? Where did you find any reviews? Do they have any displays? Are they a project builder or do you have to get plans drawn with architect before they'll quote on everything. Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 654May 15, 2015 7:59 am Hi SwiftonSwift,
Are there any news about piering. Can I contact the Western Link Concreting directly as I have got no news from Jandson about piering or slab work. Secondly there is no supervisor assigned to me as yet. Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 655May 15, 2015 9:16 am grantham_swift Hi SwiftonSwift, Are there any news about piering. Can I contact the Western Link Concreting directly as I have got no news from Jandson about piering or slab work. Did Jandson gave the name of the concreter to you or got it yourself. I mean if I call them to ask for an update on slab work will there be any issue from Jandson side. Secondly there is no supervisor assigned to me as yet. Hi grantham_swift, Not sure if we've been assigned the same trades, best to Contact Jandson directly to get any further info on your build. I wouldn't recommend contacting WLC directly as it might not do you any favors with Jandson. We only got told about peiring 4 days before it was booked in and had to wait 10 weeks to even get that far. I went out late yesterday and seen our piering has been done. I may have squealed with excitement a little bit. Had a bit of a look see in the limited light out there at night, seems like the are only a few holes that still need to be finished off as they were half filled (not sure if it's supposed to be this way?) - if it's not then I would think they'd be finishing it off today. Fencing has not been put up, they mentioned it would happen this week but I'd think this will be happening and will be pushed to next week. Hoping our slab is poured mid to late next week and this weather hangs around. Again - we won't know for sure when that date will be until the concreter or Jandson call us. Took a little peek at the other Jandson lots (193, 194, 195) and they all seem to have a step down component - we don't. Also everyone seems to have a big drop going from their alfresco to the backyard (we have one also but don't think ours is that extreme). At least these Jandson lots will be flat, we have a slope that we now can't fill in as the air con unit has been moved from the side of the house to the back. We also seem to have a large mound in our working drawings - of which we've been told cannot be flattened, moved ot filled in around it ... we will see about that. On another note... Retaining walls - has anyone started the quote process of this and figured what is the best time to get it quoted? I was thinking when the slab has been poured so you get a better idea on where the FFL is opposed to the FGL? I think its 370per sqm.. i can confirm it later by double checking the paperwork.. but its somewhere around 350-370 Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 658May 15, 2015 1:39 pm sidhu12321 Retaining walls - has anyone started the quote process of this and figured what is the best time to get it quoted? We dragged the paperwork side on for a bit (As our block was not registered) but they would have been able to have the tender created and final contracts signed within a 4 week period. Colour selections and all that took another 2-3 weeks. We got CDC approval on the 4th of March and site was scraped on the 16th of March. Super fast and getting things done and communication has been great, but I am holding my judgement until I see the final product! $395 Fixed Priced Landscape Plans for DA M: 0435 127 244 | W: bluegumdesign.com.au | E: info@bluegumdesign.com.au Residential | Commercial | Industrial Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 660May 15, 2015 10:39 pm Is there anyone building with Elderton Homes ? Have you got information when the construction will commence ? I have got Information that the CDC has been approved, they are preparing the consolidating documents. I wonder if you can share yours. I am a bit frustrated why it takes so long (more than 4 months after land registered) Thank you. |
