Do you already have a supervisor assigned. Mine is still not so we are behind your schedule. By the way how do you know piering timing . Does any one from Jandson calls you. We were contacted directly by the concreter. His name is Craig. We haven't been advised of who our Jandson assigned site supervisor is yet, but I anticipate we would be meeting with them over the next week or so if slab pouring has been booked in. I swear I did not speed that day ! Once all pier holes are done you will be walking to each and every hole with a tape measure and writing the depth . Once added that gives your linear meters of your piers . Mine came under 6 lm. There will be rebate but I was more after not charging me for extra. Didn't you get a CDC / council approved set of plans ? Your builder will be able to email you a soft copy. Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 634May 13, 2015 2:40 pm Yeah we have the approved plans, just not the locations of where the piers will be. Ours is a fixed price contract, so anything extra required for the build won't be charged to us but to the Builder. Then Jandson will have an excuse that it rained so they have to wait to dry up everything. And they another week to wait to dry again. and the stories and delays go on and on ...lol.. I guess it seems like my construction will never start...Its a joke.. 6 months waiting for construction to start... None of my friends who have build before with other believes this delay... But can't help it... SwiftOnSwift Yeah we have the approved plans, just not the locations of where the piers will be. Ours is a fixed price contract, so anything extra required for the build won't be charged to us but to the Builder. Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 636May 13, 2015 3:54 pm I know, most of my friends who have built didn't have to wait as long as what most of us seem to have been made to wait. They built in areas such as The Ponds, Stone Cutters Ridge and the new estate in Blacktown. But then again our settlement was a week before Christmas last year, then everything closed down for 5 - 6 weeks. Then we had an extra 4 week delay with council as Sydney water didn't sign off on anything until the 11th hour. Then everyone had reports back from the contour of their land coming back with added expenses of split level homes and new plans (if unlucky to not have a fixed contract), then that 1 in 10 year storm came along and nearly washed away excavation ... When they get to lock up stage things seem to come along on time, and the builders are always looking to better the forecasted completion date so they can big note themselves and say - "we did it ahead of schedule". Have just been told our practical completion date is 15th October 2015 Now we do a little more of this and hope for the best. Mind you - a storm is on its way - so you might see me out there soon putting down a few tarps ... I haven't had a reply from my solicitor either so might try Bethany directly. Also good idea on ringing Council for an extension just in case... Whoever that was great idea. We'll be on holidays so don't want to get caught out. Re: Grantham Estate, Riverstone 638May 13, 2015 4:33 pm Does anyone have a copy of the developers guidelines? Eg I've heard you can't have a standard facade. How do you obtain a copy? I don't have the developers contact details so tried calling Rance Blamey but they never called back. Also anyone with a builder they'd actually recommend or use again?? We've dumped ours & looking all over again... Aargh!! |
