Re: First build - Coral Homes Noosa 23 narrow block design 63Oct 24, 2014 10:20 am Much progress was made over the past two weeks. Looking a lot more like a house now! Rough-in's for electrical and plumbing are done. Gyprock has started, windows are up and outside has been foiled. Based on some calculations from the electrician, looks like i won't be in till late January at this stage. Internal sub-board and NBN. Front door! Front bedroom. Two cavity sliders Mysterious pipe that goes into the wall, up into the ceiling where it disappears. They have a list of prices you are charged and charge the same. Was disappointing. They wanted $120 per data point, and that was with myself providing the cable! That is what we were going to do as well. We had coral to add 5 extra data points for about $758 which is $151 a point. It worked out to be about the same price to get another person in here in newcastle. What sought of prices did the electrician give for certain items? We had the batten light positioned in the corner of a bedroom to have downlights put in there instead and wanted to pay cash to the electrician to change it over to a downlight and add a few more. Also have some batten lights changed to pendants and oyster lights. Filling holes, steel corners on walls etc. They might have cornices up today, but they were waiting on some more sheets of gyprock to finish the walls. It was delivered late yesterday, half sticking out the garage. When i got there the storms from yesterday were just starting. Had to scramble to find something to cover the gyprock with. Sadly it still got wet. Good news is bricks are onsite along with steel lintel's. Brick work is set to start this week some time, possibly today!
