Looks like they decided to get the same concretor as the Hallmark house next door, thats why they didn't do anything Fri/Mon. They were waiting for Hallmark to catch up. So my slab will go down together with my next door neighbor. Sadly, and this wasn't something i considered when i bought the block, they too have decided to build to the boundary. So both my neighbors have garage walls sitting on the side of my block Guess ill be graveling that side of the house after all, it won't get much sun with another house that close. I suppose the odds aren't all that short that both neighbours would build to the boundary on your side Yay for a slab though. Do you have some pics? Looks pretty good, a few crumbling areas but nothing big. Re: First build - Coral Homes Noosa 23 narrow block design 47Sep 25, 2014 12:25 pm We're getting a 1200 CSD to our media room and it's costing $410 if that helps Follow my Coral Daydream 28 build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72384 Re: First build - Coral Homes Noosa 23 narrow block design 48Sep 25, 2014 1:31 pm Thanks Mellywil, much appreciated. Do you reckon that sized door will be quite heavy? Re: First build - Coral Homes Noosa 23 narrow block design 49Sep 25, 2014 2:03 pm I'm not too sure how much my 1200CSD cost. It was bundled into the cost for the ensuite upgrade. Weight wise, probably won't weigh much. They are honeycomb (non-solid) doors as standard. Solid will weight a lot more. The tracks only support 35kgs tops. My Noosa 23 Build - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72782 Re: First build - Coral Homes Noosa 23 narrow block design 50Oct 02, 2014 10:08 am Framing has started. If the framers keep up the pace, might have it done by tomorrow. Looks like a neat job too Re: First build - Coral Homes Noosa 23 narrow block design 52Oct 02, 2014 7:25 pm Roof started today - just a bit missing from the front and side, but otherwise making good progress! Probably won't be done tomorrow, but can't complain. They should have it complete tomorrow i would think. That and yours gives me hope for a quick build when we get around to it. Gutters are up, preparing roof truss for CB is underway and i believe there are a few more tiedowns to go in as well. Had a cousin who is a builder come out and check progress - he was fairly impressed with the frame, and i can only find minor faults that were already corrected. Roof will probably be next week according to the site supervisor. I am watching your build as we have a narrow block too and I am a bit anxious. Re: First build - Coral Homes Noosa 23 narrow block design 56Oct 11, 2014 12:27 pm We had a colorbond moment yesterday. Once they started, it went up amazingly quick. They finished it of this morning and i'm pretty happy. I was concerned about the Colorbond Basalt being too baby blue, but my fears were for nothing it seems. Really like the color, not too dark like Ironstone, but dark enough. Anticon installed under the roof. I'm 50/50 on their install. I thought the foil was to go against the sheets, but Bradford advise it can be installed either way, depending on climate. Windows were delivered along with doors, so they may have gone up on Friday. Electrical set to start on Monday. So things are rolling smoothly, no major issues yet *touchwood* Although i did find that the tap they installed for water onsite has been leaking for weeks. Not a large leak, thank god, so hopefully no huge water bill coming my way. My Noosa 23 Build - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72782 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13781 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4357 yes it does, you've just not understood it. theres a difference. 4 5333 |
