Wondering if we should make it 100mm. Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Handover 283Mar 09, 2015 5:52 pm Just remember that Coral install a double thickness wall when they put in a shower niche, so you will lose the same depth either out of your shower or the whole room (bathroom or ensuite). We were not prepared to lose that space so we deleted the niches and will use corner mounted stainless shelves. Wondering if we should make it 100mm. We upped ours to 100mm but as Adrian mentioned you lose width somewhere. In hindsight we should have taken the recess space out of our pantry, but didn't realise til it was too late. Wondering if we should make it 100mm. 70mm is enough for me. All my bottles fit without overhang. They increase my wall width by the 70mm in the ensuite. Wasn't sure how that would turn out, but after having many a showers in there already, i hardly notice it is smaller. Still plenty of room. Pretty much spot on 1 month from when i ordered until it was installed. Install only took 45mins or so, was really quick and apparently very easy for them. s_mack You must be stoked with how it has all turned out Whzzz. Can I ask - with your owner supplied items did you look at any insurance for them to cover you til handover? I looked into it, and spent a lot of time talking to CBA about some sort of temporary insurance, or even just starting the home and contents insurance early. They basically told me they had nothing to offer to cover me during the period from when the appliances were installed until handover. Nothing at all. I was surprised! So the appliances were installed about 4 weeks before handover (2 weeks before PCI). Luckily i had no problems. Mellywil Looks great whzzz Are you feeling like you're home now? It's growing on me. When i moved in it was "just happy its over with!". Now i have had time to settle a bit, it's much nicer. Front garden (free with the land) will be done in a few weeks so that will make it look much more like a house. Ducted AC really is awesome, and not as expensive to run as i first thought (thanks to the solar). NBN is great! I'm sure it will grow on me further as it really sinks in. I was wondering how the "free landscaping" works. Are there forms to fill in etc. Your house looks amazing by the way Excellent choices Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Handover 293Mar 16, 2015 11:50 am Free landscaping isn't for all blocks. You need to speak with Nadia (sales office) about whether your block has landscaping or not. It's called "Flying start package". Once your house is done and you have your cert of completion, you email the form and cert to them and they book the fencer and lanscaper to call/visit. The fencer is slow though. 2 months and my neighbor is still waiting for their fence to go up. I will wait til closer to completion and contact her Hi h_cherry, We're building in Warner Lakes The Reserve. I believe that the fences aren't included by Peet or DHA. You need to organise these yourself. We have already had one neighbour ask for our contact details so they can start to arrange the details for our shared fence. Have you seen this: http://www.warnerlakesthereserve.com.au ... ng-package Cheers, Kate & Tim Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Handover 296Mar 16, 2015 3:39 pm Yay you're in! Looks fantastic! If so how have you found them so far? I was also told by a friend that dishwashers and microwaves do not come with the house. Is this true? Thanks Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Handover 299Mar 19, 2015 2:08 pm Kate+Tim h_cherry Thanks Whzzz28 - Nadia mentioned the 5k landscaping when I brought the land, but nothing about fencing. Have you seen this: http://www.warnerlakesthereserve.com.au ... ng-package Cheers, Kate & Tim That's different to my package. I get free (well paid for when i purchased the land) fencing and front landscaping. I have just had the lanscaping plan done and was not limited in my choice of plants, i could choose anything (so long as they could get it) and fencing includes all sides of the house and gates. I guess they stopped doing fencing - the poor fencer is flat out, has a huge back log in our area. My Noosa 23 Build - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72782 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
