Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 11, 2014 5:16 pm Our land has finally titled (after a 6 month delay) and we have signed with Ashford homes to build a custom designed 25sqm home. Ashford Homes has been exceptional over the last 10 months and hopefully their first class service will continue for the next 6 months as our house is built. We are a tad excited Re: Building with Ashford Homes in Plumpton 3Jan 18, 2015 9:47 pm Hi there Yes Id also like to know how the process has been going as we're building with them some time this year after our land titles Re: Building with Ashford Homes in Plumpton 5Jan 28, 2015 10:36 am We've signed with Ashford, just finished colour selection, waiting on start date. hopefully in the next few weeks. So far so good, sales and admin staff have been extremly helpful. Nothing has been too much trouble, so far.. Re: Building with Ashford Homes in Plumpton 6Feb 07, 2015 4:01 am would anyone here be kind enough to provide some info on standard category brick and laminate flooring options with Ashford? TIA Re: Building with Ashford Homes in Plumpton 8Feb 12, 2015 3:04 pm thank you so much, Sjh99! i had found out about the bricks since posting but not the floors. much appreciated. Re: Building with Ashford Homes in Plumpton 9Feb 13, 2015 12:17 pm No problem. If you can, go to a Carpet Call store prior to your colour selection appointment. We found the samples of flooring Ashford had were very small, very hard to get an idea of what they would look like. Re: Building with Ashford Homes in Plumpton 12Mar 20, 2015 9:13 am Our site cut was the 23rd of September 2014. Slab went down three weeks later. Bear in mind we have been delayed due to pipes being placed in the wrong spot. Please don't expect Ashford Homes to build your home over night, I have found that it is hard for them to get trades out on the days they were suppose too . Trades never show up on the days they are suppose to and Ashford will tell you otherwise. Example: We were told that the tiler was suppose to start on the 12th of March as of 18th no tiles have been laid. However, by saying all of this the quality of the work is fantastic (especially the paint job) and worth the wait. Re: Building with Ashford Homes in Plumpton 14Apr 07, 2015 4:44 pm Hi Channy60, Our site was cut 13th March, and slab was meant to go down 27th March, but was delayed till 9th April. Not feeling very confident about making the 9th though.. we'll see. How are you going? has the tiling been completed now? Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74701 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
