Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 11, 2014 1:43 pm Hello everyone,
This is my first post here. We bought a piece of land earlier this year at 25 Westminster Street in Schofields. I have been reading and learning from the Homeone forum but haven't come across anyone who have bought from the same estate/block of lands. So i thought it will be a good idea to start a post where we can meet and discuss this exciting journey we are about to embark on! Looking forward to hearing from anyone. Re: Westminster Estate Schofields 2Aug 11, 2014 6:30 pm By the way we are planning to build with Wisdom Homes. We are currently waiting for our plans to be drawn out. Im hoping to get as much of thr admin stuff done before the land is registered early 2014. Has anyone else done it this way? Re: Westminster Estate Schofields 3Aug 11, 2014 6:50 pm Hi erinlo, We will be nearby in the Meadows on the proposed road that runs parallel to Schofields Farm Road near the proposed extension of station st. Our land won't be registered til September '15. Feeling like we jumped in with very little information. Contour plan wasn't even available. We are looking at an Eden Brae. Only 12.5 frontage, so choice is fairly limited. Re: Westminster Estate Schofields 4Aug 11, 2014 7:02 pm Hi dr_flip, I have heard of the Meadows. Been reading the thread about it here in homeone. Have they started excavation works on the area yet? They only started cutting trees down and clearing the our land a few weeks ago so I'm not sure if the land will register early 2015. Wisdom has a new range called the Metro range which suits narrower blocks. Re: Westminster Estate Schofields 5Aug 11, 2014 8:00 pm Yeh, will definitely have a look. I assume that their service has been good given you want to with them? No works yet. Looks like there are still people living there. Are you planning for a single or double storey? Re: Westminster Estate Schofields 6Aug 11, 2014 8:17 pm Yes, so far so good. Our sales consultant has been very good. The quote given to us was very close to the tender price presented. Most of our upgrades went towards provisional allowances for site costs as land isn't registered yet. Their metro range isn't on their website yet so if you wanted to, I can pm you our sales consultants email. We usually drive around schofields on the weekend to check the land out. Our land is closer to Railway Tce than Boundary road though. We're going for a single story. Re: Westminster Estate Schofields 7Sep 09, 2014 9:26 am Hello again, Haven't posted anything here for a few weeks so I just wanted to post a land update. Here is a photo of the land: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I'm hoping others who have also bought from the same block of lands will be in this forum and that the photo helps with identifying which block of land I'm talking about. Even if you didn't purchase a land there, please feel free to comment or ask any questions. Re: Westminster Estate Schofields - Zarzar real estate 8Jan 02, 2015 9:48 am Hello Neighbour - erinlo Thanks for starting this post When we contacted Zarzar real estate last month, they said that the land will be "HOPEFULLY" registered by March 2015...I am a bit concerned that they used the word hopefully We are building with Elderton homes and yes we are also trying to do as much as pre-work done before the land releases, so we can start building as soon as possible Firstbuildlucky Re: Westminster Estate Schofields 9Jan 02, 2015 9:55 am I am sure more of our neighbours are in this forum - May be if we amend the topic from Westminster Estate Schofields to include the address (25 Westminster St) and Zarzar real estate, more people will be able to find this.... I also stumbled upon this after typing variations Firstbuildlucky Re: Westminster Estate Schofields 10Jan 02, 2015 5:39 pm Hi Firstbuildlucky Nice to finally here from someone. Which lot are you on? When I spoke to the real estate he did say maybe March 2015 but it could also be January or February. He said the owner actually wanted the registration to happen in December. I am still hoping and praying for a January registration. I'm actually glad that they had the road poured before the year ended. We had already done our external appointments with our builder. Our tender will 3xpire in July 2015 so I will be very upset if the registration is later than March 2015. Thanks for the suggestion. I will change the topics name. Re: Westminster Estate Schofields 11Jan 12, 2015 9:41 am Hi Eninlo– Hope you had a lovely weekend ! We drove past the land on Saturday… Machinery have returned to the site after being removed during the holiday season. But nothing else seem to have changed in the landscape… The big mountain of soil is still there!!!! Firstbuildlucky Re: 25 Westminster Street, Schofields 12Jan 13, 2015 7:46 am Hi Firstbuildlucky Ahhh this rain certainly doesn't help! I emailed our solicitor yesterday and there are no updates. I wonder what stage they are up to in terms of land development. Did you get a copy of the Surveyor's Development Schedule from your solicitor? It says the the finalization phase should've started in November 2014 and would take 1 month weather permitting. I just wanna know when the expected registration will take place. Re: 25 Westminster Street, Schofields 13Jan 13, 2015 12:57 pm Hi Eninlo We haven't got a reply from our solicitor and didnt receive a Surveyor's Development Schedule either As we hit a dead end from the solicitor and the real estate guys, I have emailed the Black town council giving the handful of details I have and asked for the registration date... Lets see how it goes... Sigh! Firstbuildlucky Re: 25 Westminster Street, Schofields 14Jan 13, 2015 8:29 pm Hi Firstbuildlucky
Do you want me to email a copy of the Surveyor's Development Schedule? I will try to ring real estate agent again end of this week to check what they are up to with the land development. Re: 25 Westminster Street, Schofields 15Jan 14, 2015 8:15 am Hi Erinlo Yes please, Thank you. I will PM my email address to you Firstbuildlucky Re: 25 Westminster Street, Schofields 16Apr 23, 2015 10:41 am Hello All, Thanks for this forum and good to read the discussions. Did anyone get a chance to look at the site after two days of heavy rain? I heard Kerry Rd (other side of the station) was flooded, is our site affected by flood? Any impact to home loan approvals? Please share your thoughts. Cheers. Re: 25 Westminster Street, Schofields 17Apr 23, 2015 10:56 am Hello sendtokartik and welcome to the forum! We drove there last night and it and "seems" to be ok...But not 100% sure as we didnt go during heavy rain Didnt get a chance to speak to the home loan officer to check whether there will be any impact... BTW which plot are you on? Firstbuildlucky Re: 25 Westminster Street, Schofields 18Apr 23, 2015 11:49 am Hi Sendtokartik I don't think it generally floods on Westminster St as it is quite high so I think we are safe. It floods mostly on the other side of the station. Which lot will you be on? Have you chosen a builder yet? Re: 25 Westminster Street, Schofields 19Apr 24, 2015 3:36 pm Hi Enrilo,
Thanks for your prompt response and always good to hear the positive feedback , gives some sort of relief. What is your plot number? How do you find Wisdom homes? Are they flexible for custom builds and how are the rates? No idea about the driveway question, but your price for a house that size including landscaping seems very good! 1 6235 We bought land in Tallawong Schofields NSW size 30m X 12.5m and planning to get double story house build around 350 sqm. We are thinking about having premium inclusions… 0 4162 Hi all. I'm thinking of installing an electric gate in front of this street front villa (link below). The gate would be between the bush on the left and the letter box on… 0 2817 |
