Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 381Jul 26, 2015 5:10 pm They only used the mitred edges on one of the edges, the lower step on the hob, shame really, but it looks ok, we didnt know they were going to use mitred edges so when I saw them it was a bonus anyway. Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 382Jul 26, 2015 8:10 pm That's good to hear. Thanks for that Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 383Jul 26, 2015 10:29 pm They only did it on one edge? It says mitred tiling throughout so that's what I'll expect Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 384Jul 26, 2015 11:17 pm Thanks archetto. I was going to say that but then began doubting myself. Will have to keep a check on that. Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 385Jul 26, 2015 11:34 pm Anywhere there is an edge exposed it should be mitred. Mitred tiling throughout is included so if there is a corner that exposes a tile edge I would get it fixed. Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 386Jul 27, 2015 10:11 am Yep should be mitred all through. Thats what ours also says Our build thread [url]https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=71492/url] Prestart: 18/7/14 Final plans: 13/8/14 Building permit: 30/9/14 Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 387Jul 27, 2015 9:03 pm Thats the problem with them taking so long, eventually you compromise quality just to get them the hell out of there Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 388Jul 27, 2015 9:10 pm I just looked at some close ups of my tiling in its early stages, the bath hob has mitred tiling where it meets the shower hob, but on the step into the hob its only mitred on one side, the ensuite is the same but where we have the raised hob joining the cabinet its only mitred on one side again, so basically where ever a tile is cut, you lose the mitred edge, hence only having one edge Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 389Jul 29, 2015 10:59 pm Had final inspection today, had a close look at the tiling now that the glass is installed, the glass frame is strategically placed so that you cant see the exposed edge of the cut tile, all you can see is the mitred edge, all looks good. Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 390Jul 29, 2015 11:20 pm That's good news. They must have known that all along Re: Ben Trager Sunshine Burns Beach Build 391Jul 30, 2015 1:40 am Awesome!
