Thanks everyone. Actually just trying to schedule all those tasks after handover makes me realize how short the time is before handover! We are so glad that we went with the builder's "complete" package at the time when it was offered. Flooring was actually included too, but we decided to get that done ourselves, otherwise the list would be slightly shorter... ![]() So far we've been lucky enough to secure dates for the major tasks such as flooring, wardrobes and fencing. All booked from handover date onwards and ready to rock and roll: 1. Flooring - Vinyl Planks - Booked! 2. Wardrobes fitout - Booked! 3. Fencing installation - Booked! 4. Landscaping - Have signed with the landscaper and awaiting booking date! 5. Install self supplied lights - To be confirmed 6. Move in - To be confirmed 7. Delivery of purchased items - white goods, Tvs, furniture etc - To be confirmed 8. NBN (forgot to add this earlier) - To be confirmed Our daughter is happy as it seems that she will get her wish to celebrate her birthday in the new house, although we are unsure if we would have fully moved in yet ![]() Our Build Thread: The "Extended" Marina by Visionone Homes Our Inspirations: Frank Lloyd Wright | Houzz Re: Building with Visionone in Aveley - PCI Complete! 848Sep 26, 2015 11:08 am ![]() Woo hoo! I cannot wait to see all of that develop once you have the keys - so genuinely excited for you! Congrats, nearly there!! Hey Justin, you described it brilliantly! The calm before the storm indeed! I can sense the gears starting to wind up now, with us having to book in the various trades for after handover tasks. In theory we have them all organized one after the other...that's in theory....we are preparing ourselves not to stress out too much in case there is any hiccups... ![]() ![]() Omg Hootie so close! and I want your handover list...mine is out of control lol it's literally going to be my job for 2 months just to organise it all haha Eeee you must be excited!!! We are very excited archetto! Words can't describe it....I'm trying to visualize the period after we move in...and not think too much about the moving in process, if you know what I mean... ![]() ![]() Btw hoot congratulations!we have similar list to complete when we get key handover, it's just absolutely crazy haha! I'm thinking the week before we move in I'm going to stop by after work to out boxes in the garage lols, to lessen the load! But jeeeez, packing is hard! Thanks IssyandOzzy! Your are completely right there....we have not even thought about how we are going to pack yet...one advantage of moving close by is that we will have the chance to move things slowly. We will be getting movers for the big stuff, but little things we can start moving once we get the keys.... Today we cleared out quite a bit of the shed...heaps of stuff. In the new place, we will not have a shed, so stuff has to go. There is still quite a bit of stuff left to clear, but at least today has got us somewhere lol... ![]() ![]() Congratulations hootie. I'm already starting to worry because at this rate it's going to be right on top of Xmas!! Thanks nikkis2000, we are very pleased with the builder and glad that we chose them. Fingers crossed for you that you will get there before Xmas, but I know what you mean...even for us I think the time is quite tight, but we'll get there. We've had quite a bit of action on our street this week. Ours is one of last three houses to be built. We've noticed that those who have built and moved in are now all starting to get their landscaping done, presumably before the festive season.... List update: 1. Flooring - Vinyl Planks - Booked! 2. Wardrobes fitout - Booked! 3. Fencing installation - Booked! 4. Landscaping - Have signed with the landscaper and awaiting booking date! 5. NBN - Booked! 5. Install self supplied lights - To be confirmed 6. Move in - To be confirmed 7. Delivery of purchased items - white goods, Tvs, furniture etc - To be confirmed 8. Verge landscaping (forgot to add this earlier) - DIY, landscaper only doing within property boundary When all is done, we are just going to chill with a bottle of wine in the firepit, and enjoy the night sky and air lol.... ![]() Our Build Thread: The "Extended" Marina by Visionone Homes Our Inspirations: Frank Lloyd Wright | Houzz Re: Building with Visionone in Aveley - PCI Complete! 855Sep 27, 2015 2:38 am The calm before the storm ![]() I thought the storm was already over ![]() ![]() Our Build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72518 Re: Building with Visionone in Aveley - PCI Complete! 856Sep 27, 2015 2:51 am Lols hoot I cleared the laundry today so that was enough work for me..
