Hey Hootie, we also very interested in the Marina Plan. Love to see what you did with the elevation as the original one is dam boring. I see you made quite a big changes to the original, how much it cost you extra to do so?

Hi skydroid, yes indeed, we made big changes to the Marina plan. We felt that the base plan was a very good plan to start with as it had most of the features we wanted. I can't remember how much extra it costs us, will have to check...but I remember the cost included a bunch of things lumped together.

Visionone have been excellent and very accommodating so far. Communication with our sales consultant and pre-start person has been very smooth and we know that things have been moving along in the background. We are very happy with the service we've been receiving to this point.

Where are you building? Visionone has a new display in Southern River and one being built in Ellenbrook (Annie's Landing), which would be worth a look when it's completed.

Our lot is at Holland Park Piara Waters. I met with Darren at Southern River, but still trying to figure out what's the best layout we like. Like to see you include a powder room in the plan. If you don't mind PM me with adding that, that'd be great! Did you go with the complete package? How do you find their standard spec items? Are they fairly good already or needing upgrade? (this I reckon is where most cheaper builder will rip you off)

How did you come up with that elevation? The consultant did that for you? Or some architect?

Latest news (well, got the news last week) is that the developer has approved of the new window facing the secondary street. However, we have not received any more news about developer approval for the overall design yet.

We ended up placing a full length window on the side of the theater facing the secondary street. Here's a rendition - I used Sketchup:

Last week when we visited a new display home by the builder, we were told by the sales consultant there that our floor plan and elevation design has proven popular, so they have started marketing it to other prospective people wanting to build. I suppose we should take that as a compliment?!? We were slightly surprised to hear that they can do this so soon but apparently they can as long as it was not on the same street or suburb? Anyway... :::

Not expecting much until prob end Jan/Feb when the necessary permits would have been received and earthworks scheduled. However we are stoked to have got to this stage ::lol::

Updates:

Was informed today that site scheduling has been completed and earthworks have been booked for the week starting 2 Feb. Slab should be down by mid-Feb.

We also discovered that water is being taken from our tap by an unknown source. Although not much was taken, a lock which we had placed on the tap had been cut in the weekend and more water taken. Water corp has advised us to report the water theft to the local police and we have taken their advice.

Very excited and can't wait to see work actually begin on the vacant lot...

Today we received via email our initial fortnightly scheduling update document as earthworks are supposed to begin this week.

We've also been given an approximate PCI date of end Nov 2015, which is slightly longer than what we expected (we were hoping ard Sept/Oct 2015).

Does anyone receive schedules from their builder with estimated dates on them? If so I will need to check with my builder because there are no dates included in our schedule.
