We are quite pleased with the progress this week.

So no lock up this week, folks...but we are happy with what's been done.

The plasterer still has the theatre, main entry and part of the garage walkway to go. He reckons that he should be finished by early next week. No sign of doors yet, but this gives us a chance to go into the house to have a look at the plastering and the windows/frames this weekend.

Wow it looks amazing with the ceilings! I can't wait for mine to go in now :-)

I expect those little dings are par for the course and will be fixed up before PCI.

It looks wonderful with the ceilings - looking at the stacker frame it makes a bit more sense why it would be so expensive! I hope they'll fix it easily for you.

Thanks trixee! We are confident those will be fixed up! So far those items that have been brought to our SS attention have or are being addressed (as you will see later in this post)... ::wink::

Thanks MalSannie, I had a closer look at the frame today and it seems that they might have to adjust it, but I'm not 100% sure.

Hi Petad, not sure if it's a crack, hopefully it's a minor issue... ::smile::

So today we were walking along the site and my wife squeals out "What is that hole in the wall??"

I went to where she was and noticed that there was indeed a hole in the blade wall next to the garage!:

Was about to have a heart attack and realized that the hole was made to fix the drainage pipe which was leaking into the ceiling board in the garage area - something we had reported earlier to the SS. That's where our hidden downpipe is for the frontage. Gives one a great insight into how the pipes are run I guess... ::dizzy::

So we are happy but hope that the patch up job will be just as good before the hole was made.

Otherwise, all good, looking forward to white set being complete early next week and maybe doors.... ::celeb::

Are you worried about the downpipes being concealed and if anything goes wrong in future having to access them? Concealed downpipes intrigue me, before this forum I had no idea you could do it!

Hi archetto, initially we were, but after chatting with the builder, some of our friends who built this way and other builders, we aren't too worried about it anymore.

Our builder's parent company (Novus Homes) does concealed front elevation downpipes for their 2 storey homes so we are pretty confident in their build quality.

Here's to lock up for us this week!! ::lol::

Thanks jelbell55, the SS is indeed very efficient in responding to the issues we have raised and we are happy with that. Also happy to say that my wife spotted the hole in the garage pier bricked up today after they had completed resealing the pipe! ::celeb::

Today the plasterer completed the remaining 2 walls in the Theatre and we had doors done and the supports for the shelving in the WIL and scullery installed. Painters are due tomorrow for the first coat.

Love your entry to the garage, although our cars are not pretty enough to stare at them like that haha and my garage is way to messy! But love the door!
