Fingers crossed that plasterer starts tomorrow for you Hootie, it would be nice if lock up was still the 24th for you. Fingers crossed you will have someone working over the weekend too

Sounds like he might be in the same place as our plasterer!
We were told start of last week, then the end, then the same again this week and now Monday! I thought some of our delay was caused by us needing an electrical variation raised but it seems not!

Thanks for the support...the great news is there has been progress...white set has started!!! ::celeb::

2 rooms have been completed today and markings for the rest of the rooms have been done.

We estimate that based on the approximate time given by the SS for white set, it will be tight to have lock up by 24th but we are still hopeful...

Congrats on the white set, starting to look big and bright now! Ours has started too so looks like we are still at the same stage. Very exciting isn't it. Hopefully they still push for that lock up date ::smile::

Thanks for the support jelbell55, trixee, ColleyCrew, jlo1990 and Petad, hoping that the work will continue tomorrow and that the lock up date can be met. It seems that the plasterer has a lot more to complete if lock up is to happen at the end of this week but we are hopeful.

I've seen the white set myself only today because I came back from an overseas trip last night. Really make a difference in the rooms that have been completed.

In other news, we have started to look for items that we want to incorporate in our landscape and we recently purchased these two dragon trees from a private grower:

Our house is starting to look like a warehouse now with boxes of stuff that we've bought for the new house, unassembled furniture and now plants lol... ::lol::

Contact is Matthew. We've compared the prices at nurseries and his price is competitive for the age/height of the tree.

We can't wait to get from "warehouse" to home ::hyst::

I will miss my big shed though and will have to be clever in the way I organize storage around the garage area to compensate. That, plus a major cleanout/garage sale of our non essential items prior to moving to the new house ::surprise::

Happy to share MalSannie, I think he said that he had a few more, not sure how many, but best to call and check if you are really after one of them dragon trees.

Today the plasterer worked on...a long day for him as my wife saw him still working when she drove past at around 3pm...he completed the bedroom hallway, master bedroom wardrobe, powder room and common bathroom.

Yesterday he plastered the walls in the master bedroom and ensuite.

Must have been tiring for him, being a one man show... :::

Thanks Ourmansion, we are keeping our fingers really crossed for lock up on 24th as the days pass.

The white set does make a tremendous difference....areas which I used to think were dark before are now much brighter, as you can see from the photos.

Can' wait till the living/dining/kitchen areas are done, that'll make a huge difference in how it looks ::smile::

How much bigger does the whiteset make the house look! I was gobsmacked when i saw the difference in mine!

Wait until the cabinets go in, you'll think they make the room smaller but they really dont

Love seeing the actual size of my kitchen now!

It looks great hootie! I think ours is just a single man too, nearly done except for a couple of minor bits that it looks like they've left on purpose for later.
