Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Re: Building with Visionone in Aveley - Getting Frustrat 441Jun 23, 2015 1:23 am Ah hootie it's so frustrating! Even though our roof is on, that part is still not over for us, as they have to fix some things up - poor join quality on a fascia, broken eave, part of the roof is buckling a bit, and they haven't finished the gable. Hope yours is trouble free when you do get it on! Re: Re: Building with Visionone in Aveley - Getting Frustrat 442Jun 23, 2015 11:44 am I've been missing notifications on your build hootie and have just caught up. I LOVE your skill lion roof! And that entry is going to look amazing. Hope they get your roof finished, meant to be dry but cold for the rest of the week ![]() Re: Re: Building with Visionone in Aveley - Getting Frustrat 443Jun 23, 2015 5:19 pm ![]() I know your pain! Not good that its taking so long to do the roof! ![]() Weather forecast for the next few days look good, hope these guys get back on track. ![]() Ah hootie it's so frustrating! Hope yours is trouble free when you do get it on! Cheers people ![]() The reason that the roofing people are not at our site is because they have been called off to carry out rectification works on other sites. So anyway they are scheduled to be back on our site tomorrow...again...fingers crossed. At this point, we just want it to be done already....before the next bout of winter rains arrive. This is what we are trying to minimise (in addition to pools of water on the slab)....wet eaves....we heard that it's ok for these boards to get wet, but with the amount of rain we have got recently, we don't want any unnecessary problems with them in the future: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ ![]() ....They told us that there is no shortage of bricklayer and yet we have one that took forever to finish. Shortage of roofer? So far, other than the slab and few small stuff like wiring and plumbing are on time for our house, nothing is on schedule with our builder. I'm not sure what the stuff up is but it is certainly poorly managed. I like your landscaping selection! Thanks sofia14, I'm not sure if there is a shortage or if it is something to do with scheduling...because this isn't the first time a team of tradies working on our site have been pulled away to work on other sites. I know this happens in the industry and it's "normal" but we feel a bit frustrated. Wonder if when the time comes, tradies would be pulled off other sites to work on ours? It was certainly not the case when the brickies' labourer went walkabout and they were short handed. ![]() I've been missing notifications on your build hootie and have just caught up.
