Cheers people No such luck today as well. My wife is also getting frustrated and left a text to the SS to please explain...got a response from him, which is good in that sense....

The reason that the roofing people are not at our site is because they have been called off to carry out rectification works on other sites.

So anyway they are scheduled to be back on our site tomorrow...again...fingers crossed. At this point, we just want it to be done already....before the next bout of winter rains arrive.

This is what we are trying to minimise (in addition to pools of water on the slab)....wet eaves....we heard that it's ok for these boards to get wet, but with the amount of rain we have got recently, we don't want any unnecessary problems with them in the future:

Thanks sofia14, I'm not sure if there is a shortage or if it is something to do with scheduling...because this isn't the first time a team of tradies working on our site have been pulled away to work on other sites. I know this happens in the industry and it's "normal" but we feel a bit frustrated. Wonder if when the time comes, tradies would be pulled off other sites to work on ours? It was certainly not the case when the brickies' labourer went walkabout and they were short handed.



Thank you Ashgrove2316, we love the skillion roof too I think this is one of the highlights of the design and we are very excited about it. Hope the weather holds and the tradies return to our site...whichever comes first lol.....

A shout out to all of you who are experiencing delays or problems with your build...hang in there...hope the problems/delays get resolved soon...that is basically all we can do....and of course looking forward to our new house when it is completed.

Lady luck must be smiling on us today and I'm happy to say that the just like Arnold Schwarzenegger, they're back! Maybe it was my wife's chat with the SS...anyway the SS is very patient and professional and reassured us that we are on schedule....they must have built in quite a bit of buffer in our build.

Today the roofies seemed to have installed most of the roof sheets now and now it's just the flashings left. Looking more like a house now...

Hey everyone, as always your support is greatly appreciated We are super stoked today as it appears that the front render has been completed and the roof I would say 95% complete, just some parts of the skillion to be done - but not too sure, will have to see if anything else roof-wise gets done in the next few days.

Front render really changes the look of the house once it goes on. The front looks more unified and slightly larger:

According to my wife, the interior of the house isn't too dark (as we feared it might be) since the roof cover went on...so we are definitely pleased about that.

Your house looks huge hootie, its also looking very stylish with that roof! You must be so pleased to be moving forward.
