Left most of the colour decisions to my wife....I made "recommendations" and mostly said "um", "yes" and "ok dear"

I think ladies are better at making colour choices...

Thanks iheartparis13! Because we want the skillion roof to be emphasized, we hope that the colour we chose would do just that. According to the plans it is a long skillion and that we hope will be one of the main features of the front elevation.

That's what we thought too initially, until we saw it work on a variety of other houses!

We had to specify our internal colours for pre-start! So here they are:

1) Living, Dining, Kitchen, Scullery, Laundry, Entry, Study, Hallway, WIL - Taubmans Taupe Stone

These are our plans for the smart wiring, nothing flash, very basic:

1) Smartwire Starter Pack
2) 1 additional TV point in Master
3) 1 additional data point in Study
4) Conduits for wall mounted TV in Living and Theatre
5) Future conduits provided for Foxtel in Living and Theatre
6) Pre-wire of pair of ceiling speakers in Theatre in preparation for future theatre entertainment package
7) Hills security alarm standard pack
8] Key fobs for auto alarm off linked to garage door opener
9) Roof antenna with installation

We priced all the options to get an idea of the cost and now that we've seen the quote, we might cut it down to just the basics...

If we go with the smart wire package, we will get a credit from the builder for the TV and phone points originally included in the build.

Hi JnM, yes we have, thanks for the reminder to address this during prestart.

I forgot to mention that the lighting positions shown in the plan should be ignored as this is the builder's initial layout suggestions only - we are going to add more lights to the builder's standard package during prestart.

We have LED downlights as part of the package and we will move those to cover the Living, Dining, Theatre, Entry, Garage Entry, Bedroom Hallway, Kitchen stove area, WIR, Ensuite, Bath and WC. So in place of the LED lights in the rest of the rooms, we have gone with conventional light fixtures and will ourselves be getting an electrician to fit them.

The light fittings for the other areas (all from Beacon Lighting) are:
