What do they talk to you about. I estimate our brickwork will be done by the end of next week if they keep going at the same rate so will be interestig to know what to expect. Re: Building with Visionone in Aveley - PLATE HEIGHT & Shopp 322May 21, 2015 3:53 pm ![]() Oh very nice! ![]() Yep - Very nice and looks very comfy too ![]() ![]() Congrats Hootie that is awesome and the chair ![]() ![]() ![]() I know ![]() Hopefully all's good when it arrives (we purchased it online) because the dining table that we purchased online from over East came with a fault in one of the table legs. The company has agreed to get it repaired to us locally, but I am yet to hear from the local repairer... ![]() ![]() Great progress Hootie - glad the meeting went well. What do they talk to you about. I estimate our brickwork will be done by the end of next week if they keep going at the same rate so will be interestig to know what to expect. We are so happy with the progress so far, even if bricks took a bit longer than we anticipated. At the meeting the brickies were still finishing off the garage pier and some small items, but we had a list of items to clarify with the SS, and we marked those areas off on a copy of the floorplan using different coloured highlighters ![]() We are glad to say that all of our concerns were addressed very satisfactorily. In one of my earlier posts, I highlighted an area below the dining window that had not been bricked properly. That was addressed too ![]() ![]() There was a recess in the entrance wall in which the opening was bricked at 940 instead of 970. We noted this but the SS was already on it. When we returned after the brickies had left, they cut the bricks to the correct opening size (970). There were also some areas where bits of mortar were missing (we could see the gaps in the bricks) and they filled those areas up before they left. Our laundry/scullery area has a gap between the slab and the brick, which the SS said would be rectified (filled in with concrete) by the tradie who would be pouring the garage grano. Your SS might conduct the meeting differently but my advice would be to ask any questions that you may have, even how minor it might seem, so at least you get some clarification if you have any doubts ![]() Our Build Thread: The "Extended" Marina by Visionone Homes Our Inspirations: Frank Lloyd Wright | Houzz Re: Building with Visionone in Aveley - ROOF BEGINS! 323May 22, 2015 7:28 pm Our roof timbers stage started today! The sale was over sometime ago but we got a really good bargain with also the speaker stands included and free installation of the rear ceiling speakers when the house is ready. Service at the Bose Store in Subiaco is awesome!
