Thanks all, we would be very excited if we end up building the DAH design.

Currently waiting other designs from Ross North, Plunkett and we are meeting Blueprint homes on Saturday.

If anyone who has built with the above builders and has advise, please feel free to comment!

We are building with Blueprint homes (half way) and we have mixed feelings about the builder. They are a bit exxy but are open about that

. I am not sure if they build any house that is more than 300 sqm area...
Would like to know the quoted number by DA for the sketched house ;-)

This is the latest elevation drawing we received from another builder that we went to see.

We all think this might be the one...now comparing prices, inclusions etc from submissions from the other builders before we decide....

My advice wouild be give DAH a miss. Designs are good but quality is sorely lacking and their site supers are either too stretched, on the rare occasion you get a good one, or just plain useless.

This hasn't been my experience at all. Would definitely recommend DAH.

that's just made me think...hmm next house lol good luck with the decision! We built with redink and would do so again if that's any help. Very happy with the after service we are currently receiving

We have chosen our builder!!! :z:

After much discussion on layouts and elevations with mutilple builders, we have selected Visionone Homes as our builder.

Visionone Homes is part of the Novus Homes Group.

They have been very proactive so far and have the best design and elevation of all the builders that we have met.

Here is a "colour" rendition of the elevation:

Next stage is working drawings...fingers crossed all continues to go smoothly...

For anyone thinking about building with Visionone Homes, you can subscribe to this thread and I will definitely be providing comments and feedback... :lol:

Congrats on choosing a builder! I found that to be one of the hardest decisions. Good luck with your build. The front elevation looks lovely!

Thanks ardie514, yes the process of choosing the builder was fun but also tiring...imagine what we are going to feel when the building starts! :::

Anyway I'm glad that the wife and I got past this stage and now we are just "impatient" to get on with the actual building, which might take a while yet... ::hyst::

Is that a sliding door to the scullery? It's like mine - just be aware that for the purposes of opening a fridge, it will be the same as a wall and the cavity slider bracket will impede the fridge opening. I've worked out that 60 mm gap is best on that side to allow the door to open 90 degrees. You'd need to get your fridge manual out to see how much space you need to open the door fully. Just thought I'd mention that as ours has been a bit of a headache.

Yeah I noticed your plans look identical to mine in that respect. At the scullery end of the fridge cavity you can see it looks just a tiny bit longer than the other end. Ours in fact was over 20 cm longer to accommodate the slider but it means you can't sit the fridge 'proud'; or jutting out a little like many people do. Ours was way too far out and would impede the walkway. Hope that makes sense.
