Have you got any varieties in mind for your place? Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 423Dec 27, 2014 12:59 am Hey trixee, not sure if you found someone for the fencing but someone recommended Custom Fab to me http://customfab.com.au/ no idea what pricing is like. Also i recently visited a place to get a quote on composite decking and they also do all manner of landscaping incl fencing. Might be worth a call http://www.astrodeck.com.au/landscapers ... Pretty vine, and native too!
Ardie - brilliant! (haha, excuse the pun!) That store is just down the road from my work but hadn't been in for ages, so will check it out when I get back. ![]() Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 428Dec 28, 2014 2:53 pm I'm feeling a little bit guilty for not checking in on the forum for a while, I think it's a combination of building anticipation fatigue (just start it already!) and having a few fairly hectic weeks at work and of course Christmas duties. I've also decided to take up crochet so that has diverted my attention for a while. I thought I might make a house blanket project - crochet a granny square every week of the build and somehow end up with a house blanket by the end of it. The longer the build takes, the bigger the blanket! Haha. I hope it ends up being a small blanket. However I'm working on another blog post so hope to have that up soon. I'm also going to have to revisit my living room mood board because Mr T doesn't like the table I picked out. Bummer. Anyone know where to get a reasonably priced solid wood table that extends to 3m? Going into Claremont tomorrow to check out Dash and King Furniture. Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 429Dec 28, 2014 11:42 pm Hi trixee . Crochet I always used to sit with my nanna when I was younger .bummer I didnt take any notice lol .she use to make a blanket for each great grand child. I only have two baby blankets out of the 6 kids she got to old to make the rest and she died before I had my 6 child . Bless her . I got my table from impression furniture .it is a 3m but does not extend out . I dont know how much you wont to spend I got mine for $3000 from $6000 . Solid wood real heavy . Impressions has a section at the back of there stores for discounted furniture . Maybe check there web site. Maybe go look at anthony murrys Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 430Dec 29, 2014 1:20 am That's a shame about your nanna melsie. I'm just learning from you tube, my nanna died before I can remember. I'll go check out impressions, I think there's one in Ozzie park. viewtopic.php?t=72683 Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 431Dec 29, 2014 9:44 am House blanket and granny squares! You must be desperate for diversion. You make me laugh. I must look up bower vine now. I'll admit to being nosey on the deciduous tree discussion! Trees are always a hard decision, they cost a lot, take a long time to grow and I never want them too tall. I didn't realise I sounded so desperate, but I guess I am! Really, it gives me something else to pin about, as you no doubt would have noticed ![]() ![]() I'll admit to being nosey on the deciduous tree discussion! Trees are always a hard decision, they cost a lot, take a long time to grow and I never want them too tall. There are so many beautiful trees out there I love them all! I have a penchant for flowering trees, and pretty leaves, and grandeur, and I do tend to gravitate to massive trees which I agree is a problem in a typical suburban back yard. We will probably get a couple of advanced trees to cater for my instant gratification needs, but even those tend not to be too big to start with. And if you get slow-growing ones, they can remain small for quite a long time. Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 434Dec 29, 2014 5:30 pm ![]() Trees - you're a wealth of information!
