Ooh, that's exciting trixee! LOVE your lighting ideas -absolutely stunning! We are so over budget on our build I reckon we will be looking at those lovely builders plastic white shades for a while!! Except for the kitchen - gotta have some pendants. Have you seen the flat panel LED lights? They sit almost flush with the ceiling. Not pretty like your lot but very smart. :-)

Thanks for linking to your blog. I use Tapatalk on my phone and it doesn't show people's signatures or blog addresses. Blog is good reading! We just went with metal fans in a modern style and I've been really happy with them in the sense they don't stand out, nor do they clash with anything. Congrats on nearly getting a building permit.

You're welcome, and thanks! I'll have to have another look at the metal fans, I think I'd prefer something unobtrusive in the bedroom.

I *think* these are the ones Rache was talking about.

Here are the links I found a while back. I first saw these in a lighting shop HS Reflections in Malaga, and then tried to find them again online but it was actually quite hard to find them strangely enough. Perhaps I wasn't googling the right thing.

I think they would be great in the garage or even the laundry (unless, of course, you wanted a chandelier in the laundry which I am totally on board with, by the way!).

Well, we haven't actually been officially notified yet but the online tracker says it's approved, so yay!

Now we just have to wait for the phone call from the builder...

I'm still hoping for a slab by Christmas, but I don't think I'll get it. But, you never know, it's not over til it's over!

Great news. A slab before Xmas would be great as it would be curing while the builder is on break! Meaning in a perfect world your bricks could start first thing in the new year.... But that's far too much optimism for this building caper :lol:
