It feels like it took forever, but in reality it was just over 3 months. Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 328Nov 04, 2014 4:13 pm Belated congratulations!! Don't know why I didn't get this notification. I am still subscribed.... ![]() Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 329Nov 04, 2014 4:36 pm Yeah the subscription notifications are kinda sketchy, I don't really know how it decides which ones to send. But I did notice that if I actually go to the forum website and look at lots of threads, it decides to send me lots of notifications! And then it peters off until I go and look at everything again. Very strange. It seems to miss the point of sending notifications! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 330Nov 04, 2014 8:26 pm Could it only send updates once per thread until you've visited it again? I think some forums work like that otherwise people would be inundated with emails! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 331Nov 04, 2014 8:44 pm Maybe a dumb question, but does that mean we have to keep all our notification emails to keep track, especially for those who haven't posted in a while???? Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 332Nov 04, 2014 8:52 pm I'm not sure whether this forum works like that - but if so, yes. What I do though is to not rely on the notifications. I click on 'view your posts' - that way you see all the posts where you've taken part in - whether there has been activity or not. It is still sorted in last activity order though ![]() Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 333Nov 04, 2014 9:15 pm What often happens when forum notifications aren't received by people, is that their ISP's mail server has wrongly detected them as spam and the bounce back to the forum flags that user as to stop having them sent out (not all forums work that way, but some do). Of course if you miss that email because it has been blocked, you won't get any more notifications on that thread until you come back in and read that thread again, then new posts to that thread will notify you again, unless of course your email account detects the next notification as spam and you don't get it, starting the process over again. ![]() Owner Building at Jimboomba Woods in Logan City Qld. ![]() Blog : http://bandlnewhomebuild.blogspot.com H1 thread : viewtopic.php?f=38&t=68283 .
