Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2021Dec 04, 2015 11:32 pm So it's official, we're getting keys on Tuesday at 10 am! And it appears to be all go at the house, tradies in and out today and even the building manager and multiple supervisors turning up. ATCO finally turned up and put in the gas line. On Monday we're getting the driveway put in and the floorboards will be sanded and polished. On Tuesday, the Jason people will turn up and replace the servery flyscreen with the correct one. And hopefully finish fixing the bifold and stacker doors. Gosh they've been terrible at getting it done right, so many problems. On Friday the cabinetmaker is turning up and finally (hopefully) fixing the outstanding items. Then the painter comes in and then we move in! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2022Dec 05, 2015 12:54 am Woohoo. (Doing a little happy dance in my head for you.) We have lots of Jason windows too. What's the problem with your bifold and stacker doors? http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2023Dec 05, 2015 1:01 am I'm not entirely sure and I think Mr Trixee will probably correct me when he reads this, but I'll try to explain (I'm not as across it as Mr T is). The easy bit is lots of dings and dents to touch up, but the biggest issue is them mostly not sealing or closing properly. With the stackers, they didn't fix the end panels in place properly, so there were gaps and too much slack when closed. Then they attempted to fix it, managed to screw up one side again so it didn't seal properly. With the bifolds, they aren't closing properly - it seems OK at the bottom but there's too much of a gap at the top. They seem to like trying out their excuses, so we're having to be quite picky and firm. Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2024Dec 05, 2015 8:39 am Yay! Not too much longer at all, I can imagine you are really looking forward to Tuesday ![]() ![]() Even though it's frustrating to have problems already, if this makes you feel any better about Jason I had to call them yesterday and their customer service is really good at their head office. They are sending out someone really quickly. At least if you think you will still have problems with the doors they are quite efficient if you need them. Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2029Dec 05, 2015 12:04 pm Omg Trixee so exciting!!! I can't wait to see your place come to life. I hope I'm hoping I can get in before Monday to cover the light fittings in the rooms being sanded, a bit worried about sawdust getting into them. ![]() Oh that's annoying re: stackers and bifolds.
