I just got my upgraded garage cost today -,$700 from colorbond to the Franklin cedar wood look. I went and had a look at it at Centurion - doesn't look too bad...I' m pretty fussy but also couldn't stand the thought of maintence for a garage door! Life's too short I reckon!! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 204Sep 13, 2014 1:40 am ![]() Yeh thats what I said to my partner about the maintence of frecken light porslin tiles. Over it .your right life is too short Ha ha Melsie!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Cancel that - I just found you - what a gorgeous home! ![]() Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 207Sep 16, 2014 11:42 pm Deposit is paid, the house is ready, just waiting for word from the demo company. In other news, contract signing tomorrow! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 208Sep 16, 2014 11:45 pm Good luck tomorrow. Have you sorted out the price increase issues? Or is it solved by signing tomorrow? Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 209Sep 16, 2014 11:52 pm It will be solved by signing tomorrow. I know I had a big whinge about it, but they've done the right thing and not charged us. Which is nice! Looking forward to the first prestart now, I suspect there will be several appointments while we sort out some issues! They've also said that they don't charge variation fees because every build is a custom build and that's just how they work. But I do believe we will end up paying for it in other ways ![]() Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 210Sep 17, 2014 12:28 am Thats awesome news trixee. Double bonus with no price increase and no variation fees ![]() Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 211Sep 17, 2014 12:30 am Congratulations trixee. Can't wait to see it start. Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 218Sep 18, 2014 12:55 am Thanks all - contract is signed! Here's how we celebrated: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We still need to get finance approved, and a line of credit for stuff we're doing after handover. The line of credit is proving the hardest bit as there are so many unknowns. I'm a bit worried about the wardrobe fitout - those of you with big walk-in-robes, would you mind PMing me how much you budgeted for? First prestart will be in a couple of weeks, and we need to have colours for our roof, gutters, fascia, and windows sorted out. We'll probably go with Surfmist for the roof, but still not sure if we want contrasting trim or not. Decisions! Any tips? Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 219Sep 18, 2014 1:09 am Congrats on signing trixee. In regards to roof colours I'm not much help other than I do love me a surfmist roof. We changed our minds so many times and did countless hours of driving around checking out roofs and gutter/fascia combos ![]() Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 220Sep 18, 2014 1:36 am Thanks Asha. We went for a walk around the 'hood on the weekend for a look-see, might have to do that a few times I think! 0 1173 We came across your post and it mirrors our situation. Have you progressed in the interim and would you have any advice for us? Thanks in advance! 40 24058 Hi Josh & Eve, thanks for the info, we have decided to play it safe and have 3 phase installed if it is available, would rather be safe than sorry. cheers, Lynne 12 5920 |
