Here we are suppose to have 75mm clear between the damp course and the external surface (paver/concrete/decking) saying that many only do 50mm or ignore it. Using my LG-G4 to bring you this update. So apparently there's a water-repellant product that gets mixed in with the cement used in the first course of bricks, done during the bricking stage obviously. This is what they use instead of the "damp course". As for the termite barrier, we used a spray. Although we may decide to use a physical barrier when we construct our deck. Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1945Nov 12, 2015 10:56 pm I went back and took more photos of the thermal break, for those interested. Still couldn't find a label. Yep this is what we went with too......when the bricks are being laid you can tell they are putting it in because the 'cement' is a different color Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1948Nov 12, 2015 11:09 pm Also, our painter got stuck in Bali so all previous dates have flown out the window.
