It all looks amazing Trixee! I'm with MnT on the fan bamboo would have looked a bit out of place. Love the bedroom fan. Similar to the one we're having in the long area.
Really wishing we'd raised our hallway ceiling. Struggling to find a Pendant I like that will fit!!

Thanks Nikki. You're probably right about the bamboo fan. One of my friends said the black fan looked "edgy", I'll take that! :lol:

Yeah I didn't realise this at the time but a lot of the fancy pendants seem to be designed for high ceilings or voids. Even in my lady lair, the chandelier is hanging a bit low and will need to be raised. And I don't consider that to be a particularly big chandelier. My last place obviously had higher ceilings.

But yes, I was just standing in the kitchen earlier today commenting that I couldn't wait to settle in. The post-handover to-do list is a bit daunting though.

And boy you have out everything on there. I should really add things like postbox and washing line to mine otherwise I know I'll forget until it's too late!

I absolutely adore the bath spout! I love the waterfall ones and I've not managed to find one that will go with our taps that could be easily swapped around. (Edited to add: I forgot to say I LOVE how you have the fancy tile as skirting in the ensuite loo too - amazing)

I'm sure once your house is all done and you're settled your mum will come around

Those fans are a bit expensive for us but they're so so beautiful! I hope we can find something at least functional if not has lovely

Thanks Malsannie! The waterfall spouts don't seem to be very common unfortunately, even harder to find a hob mounted one - most of them seem to be wall mounted.

I know, still so much to do after handover! Starting the process of getting quotes for driveway and window treatments now, figuring they're the "must haves" before we can move in.

So while we don't have a PCI date yet, our appliances will be getting installed on the 11th. That's apparently the very last thing they do (we'll see) so I expect PCI not long after that.

Today, the last bit of the boundary fence at the front was finished off, and the paving is supposed to start next week.

Also met a guy about a driveway today, seems like a bit of a character :lol:

He gave us a few addresses to check his work. Had a bit of a chat about colours because I'm still undecided, but we were initially looking at something like Jarrah. He explained that high-contrast colours can end up looking patchy due to how stones are distributed through the concrete. So we're now possibly looking at Magnolia, seems to look nice against the Surfmist garage door. Anyone care to comment on a colour?
