All may not be lost, just got a call, they spoke to the tile shop and they're going to give it a try! Fingers crossed it will be OK.

MnT, it took me a while as well! It's just concrete. According to this website, it's a specific type of concrete: http://www.pavingexpert.com/grano_01.htm

I don't know how different it is to the concrete used in the slab though.

Met with the tilers this morning, and they are now confident they can do the job with the wavy tiles. :z:

Phew, crisis averted! They're starting on it tomorrow apparently. Can't wait!

With the garage floor we have a rustoleum epoxy garage floor kit waiting to be done. It's behind a few other tasks. The garage will also possibly get a few of our spare rows of floor boards for under the work benches.

Thanks Yvonne, will check that out. Good idea about the spare floorboards too!

The tilers have been taking the spare key with them as they don't want anyone mucking up their work :lol:

so we haven't been able to get in and have a good look after hours. And it's a bit awkward taking photos when they're still there. I think they only have a couple of days left until they've finished though! Maybe we can get in then.

First pic: they've finally finished the external render! Very happy with the colours, the light made photos a bit difficult, and also the burgeoning rubbish tip at the front.

Next up, main floor tiling. I've gotten over the trauma of the kitchen cabinets and am much happier with them now.

They've left the kitchen for after the waterfall edges go in. I was a bit unsureb about the color at first but think it looks OK.
