Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1561Aug 24, 2015 7:17 pm With the high ceilings I'd definitely say larger. Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1563Aug 24, 2015 7:37 pm I vote wider. Ours are 90mm. I really like them, another 10mm would be lovely too. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76666 our custom build on 25 acres Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1564Aug 24, 2015 7:41 pm Loving the render Trixee, that colour looks great! Mind you it didn't occur to me to change the height of ours after we raised the ceilings. oops I found this info http://www.classicarchitraves.com.au/faq.php Building a Wisdom Majestic 40 at Gardener's Ridge My blog: http://majestic40atgardenersridge.wordpress.com/ Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1568Aug 24, 2015 9:07 pm Like Lunar we didn't think to increase ours with our ceiling height either. Looks like my skirting will be vertically challenged like me ![]() Unless it was upgraded automatically in our split level price - I think I know the answer to that one already ![]() Building a Wisdom Majestic 40 at Gardener's Ridge My blog: http://majestic40atgardenersridge.wordpress.com/ Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1571Aug 26, 2015 1:27 am Dropped by the house today, the frames for the sliding stackers and bifolds seem to have been delivered, so yay! Unfortunately, noticed that one of our window frames now has a massive dent in it ![]() Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1572Aug 26, 2015 1:42 am Good news to have frames. Good question about the frames, one of our (installed interior) door frames and one of our window frames also have good dents in them. I think it's from erecting the interior scaffolding. I may have left mentioning it to the builders too late. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1573Aug 26, 2015 1:46 am I really hope they have a way of fixing it! Otherwise you would think they would use more protection... Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1574Aug 26, 2015 10:03 am Looking great Trixee. We love the dieskau colour and used it on the interior of kitchen and living in the current house. Dings and dents in the frames are easily fixed. Not sure how they do it, but we had quite a few fixed without them being replaced. Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1575Aug 26, 2015 10:57 am Thanks d_rail, that's reassuring to know! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1576Aug 26, 2015 2:20 pm Sorry to hear about the frame Trixee, not something you want to see when visiting is it? Hopefully it is fixed easily. Great news about the bifolds and stackers!! Bet you can't wait to see those completed ![]() Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1577Aug 26, 2015 3:28 pm Yep we had a big dent in our frame into our games room, they fill them, sand and then paint them (just like patching a wall etc). Would never know it was there. Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1578Aug 26, 2015 4:11 pm Thanks Belzey, was that with a wood frame or a metal frame? Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1579Aug 28, 2015 12:53 am Love your external colours trixee. Cant see any purple in that lovely render! Its looking fantastic! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1580Aug 29, 2015 9:22 pm ![]() Thanks Belzey, was that with a wood frame or a metal frame? Metal but I would presume wood would be the same steps. 0 1099 We came across your post and it mirrors our situation. Have you progressed in the interim and would you have any advice for us? Thanks in advance! 40 23513 Hi Josh & Eve, thanks for the info, we have decided to play it safe and have 3 phase installed if it is available, would rather be safe than sorry. cheers, Lynne 12 5844 |
