How remiss of me! Chelsea Flooring are the ones we're using. Very happy with their customer service so far. They've been very proactive in contacting me and following up. Good to see.

Pretty pleased at the moment Rache! Not to say it hasn't had its own frustrations, but at the moment it's going great

Just caught up with your build trixee and what massive progress!

And a big plus with the flooring company liaising directly with the SS and getting the flooring sorted! How great is that!

And a big plus with the flooring company liaising directly with the SS and getting the flooring sorted! How great is that!

I agree that one is so fascinating, it almost looks like an architectural drawing was plonked on top of the photo.

Also, thanks for your comment on your paint color - Dulux Narrow Neck. I really liked the look of this and thought it might work for us so I got a sample pot but it didn't quite work with our cabinetry selections. It was the perfect depth of color though so I look forward to seeing this on your walls. I liked the idea of a warm grey because I'm also a bit worried about going too cool. Anyway our painting is just about completed, I'm happy with the color (Dulux Palace Stone) and hoping it's not too cool! Will your ceilings be white or a half tint of your wall color? We've gone with white ceilings but it seems that it's quite common to go a half tint of the wall color at the moment.

Seems to be a nice change hey! I'm looking forward to pics too, I might have to buy another camera though because I had to give mine to my parents who have decided that now is a really good time to go on holiday! Then by the time they get back it will be all done so I can do a big reveal for them

Thanks Admodra - yeah the colour really needs to go with your other selections. Palace Stone looks like a nice colour too. For the ceilings and trim we're just going with white to brighten the place up a bit. If I was going with white walls I'd probably make the ceiling the same colour though.

was wondering if you ever got a reply from the tile place re whether the lovely big wavy tiles are all straight and not bent, ie, not impossible to lay? (I can't remember how to describe it hehe )

Everything is looking amazing and good work with shopping! I wish I could shop in person, all my shopping is done on the Internet at this moment, boo ::wink::

Trixee just caught up on the last 15 pages - you went from roof frame to lock up - needless to say I love it all, especially that tile - Can't wait to see it up one wall and can I just say your library already looks calm and that's just with the white set

PS I feel you car pain if I had $1 for every time a shop assistance has said to me - sure you'll be able to fit that in your car - Agghhhhh

DH ended taking the spare tyre out of the front boot to give me more shopping room as we figured out - even if I could change the tyre - It's one of those stupid 80km run flat ones - I wouldn't be able to fit the real tyre anywhere inside the car anyaway

Thanks Mal. I did get a reply, they said (not surprisingly) that they'd never had a problem with that. Who knows, sometimes you just have to take a punt.

Marri floorboards delivered and waiting to be laid. This is the view of the top of the stack, not sure what the numbers mean, hubby thinks it's maybe length?

The render guys left us a sample board to check the color. I'm quite nervous about it and am not sure it will work, but am biting the bullet and going with it.

Front doors have been delivered! I asked for the glazing strips to be mirrored, but didn't expect it to turn out quite so... mirror-like! Oh well, gives people a chance to check their makeup before I answer the door!

Internal doors have been undercoated, some have even been hung though I'm not sure why as they still need final coats.
