Looking fabulous. Is that a niche for the curtain track to go in above the big opening?

Thanks MnT. Not sure which niche you're referring to, but yes we will be having hidden curtain rails behind the bulkhead. They've left a 200mm gap, hope it will be enough!

Yep that was the one I was referring to, great idea!!

Technically the stuff fitted into your car, luckily you could put the roof down!

Yeah the ceiling panels look nice and smooth but they're not painted yet. I think they need to put some sort of skim coating on before they paint otherwise the joins and nails will be very obvious. Is that what normally happens?

Haha very fortunate you could remove the roof to fit it in. How come you had to pick it up and not the builders?

Thanks mal! It was so frustrating when I tried to explain it to the architect because I didn't know what words to use, and they kept saying that curtains were furnishings, and...!

Thanks cat_dunc, We decided to take the range hood out of the contract and supply it ourselves, and this model requires special ducting apparently.

We're also organising some of our own tiles, and the builder advised yesterday that we were to have them delivered to site for the 12th August. So that must mean that lockup is not too far away!

In other news, I also took the day off yesterday to deliver plumbing stuff to the cabinetmaker. I also somehow ended up at Winning Appliances and scored a good deal on all our remaining kitchen appliances - new model Siemens just released, bought 2 ovens, warming drawer, and induction cooktop. Another thing crossed off the list!
