I agree with the wall mounted suggestions.

Since there are soooo many things to choose, when it came to door stops we got lazy and told the builder to just give us their standard...... Bit of a mistake really, those plastic white door stoppers look horrible so I think we will change them after handover.

Seems it be can be done a few ways

We had these in our last house but we put them a lot higher up, they were great at stopping the doors banning shut with wind. We will be installing them again in our new home ::smile::

Yeah I think a little higher up should be OK for the robot, it only needs 150mm clearance I think. Possibly a tad less.

If you did it like the first pic where the smaller bit is on the wall then it might even be ok that low too?

I'm wondering about doorstops now - is this something that is usually included? It wasn't mentioned to us so I'd assume not. And we were too stupid to know we should ask! I do like the magnetic ones too - especially since we'll have evap which can cause a bit of a breeze

They never crossed my mind either Malsannie! Our builder just put in a couplecof the plastic ones (yes ugly!) And used those little square adhesive thingies for the rest. Cant say i have taken any notice of either now we're in! Do like those pictured though.

Our builder didn't mention it as such, I just happened to notice in the addenda it said builder's range doorstops. I had to explicitly ask about it.

We need a stopper on our pantry door coz it opens out onto the frame and with the pressure it has cracked twice . .i think a something that goes on my skirting will be prefect .i don't won't anything drilled into the tiles . This might sound stupid but it does seem to stick out a bit . Can it get in the way . I have always had the plastic ones stuck on the wall .
Trix you must be so happy so far with your house .it looks great and yay for colourbond moment

Thanks melsie and ardie! Yeah I'm glad the roof is on, feels a bit more real now. But it's so much darker inside now! I'm liking the Surfmist color too, didn't think I would so much. At first I thought I might have made a mistake with the Monument fascia, but it seems to have gotten better as they put more roof on.

At first I thought I might have made a mistake with the Monument fascia, but it seems to have gotten better as they put more roof on.

We've got surfmist with monument fascia also and I love the contrast. Roof does make it look darker but just wait until the whiteset goes on, it'll change it all over again and brighten it up. I'm so glad to hear they'll fix up the portico issue easily.

I wanted to go surfmist again with the rental but shale grey looked better against the red brick. Having surfmist fascias though hehe

Thanks ardie! Yes I think the contrast looks good, it looked funny before they put the roof on but much better afterwards. I'm also happy that they seem so relaxed about changing/fixing things up. The plan wasn't specific about how it should be done, so they could have easily said no, but I guess they want happy customers!

Yours is going to look spectacular. We'll be rendering though, so even though it looks OK with the current brick, it won't be the final look. I was quite nervous about the render colour before, but seeing it all come together I'm a bit more confident.
