Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1048May 08, 2015 1:50 am ![]() Haha deluded, yours is looking a lot cleaner now that the scaf is down! You hadn't seen the mess inside the house ... after all the rain and sand and dirt ... but the bricks do look "pretty" .. its good to have the good weather while your roof trusses and tiles go up ... you won't have what I had .. with all the roof trusses all going black from being out with the elements for so long Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1049May 08, 2015 2:09 am AW really? I hadn't considered that, but it makes sense. Luckily the get hidden! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1050May 08, 2015 2:41 am Wow your your house is looking great...... You must be stoked. Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1052May 08, 2015 6:10 am Thanks for feeding us photos ![]() It is looking great. The photos on the blog are interesting. I'm sure you'd flag any that look strange but there is one that looks less wide than the others when joining... Not sure if that is an angle thing? So exciting to see it all come to life. With the roof trusses the house envelope becomes reality ![]() Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1053May 08, 2015 7:43 am Wow your build seems to be going at full steam. Great progress! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1054May 08, 2015 11:25 am Wow Trixee - that's a lot of trusses up there. They really are motoring! It's not forecast to rain until next weekend so I reckon you'll have a roof by then. Are you going tiles or Colorbond? Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1055May 08, 2015 1:32 pm Loving all the different angles in the framework! Certainly interesting to look at ![]() First Build, Commodore Homes, Alkimos Beach. I find it interesting that they'd scheduled 2 and a half weeks for the roof, I wouldn't think it would take that long. But you know, what do I know? No work today though, not sure why. Not worried yet though ![]() Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1057May 09, 2015 2:22 pm Hi Trixee, just back from a week away, and you have BEAMS and TRUSSES!!! ![]() Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1058May 10, 2015 2:25 pm Nice looking timbers Trixee!!! Did you manage to find a new laundry sink? Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 1060May 11, 2015 6:51 pm Not yet Mal. I found one that I thought I liked but I'm not sure about the thickness of the steel now. The one I'm looking at is 0.9mm thick, but I don't know how this compares to other laundry tubs or how important it even is. 0 1173 We came across your post and it mirrors our situation.
