Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2004Nov 27, 2015 12:00 pm Thanks Mal, Rache, Woolyfish & belzey PCI went well, only 1 page of items, but they still haven't finished some things. Supervisor says they'll all be addressed by the end of next week. Now you can really start thinking about the move! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2008Nov 28, 2015 10:20 pm Thanks archetto, Nikki, & Cat I can't wait to see the curtains up too, will make it feel so much more homely I think. They said they'd be able to get it done before Xmas too, so that's a bonus! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2009Nov 29, 2015 6:21 am Trixee that waterfall spout is so lovely - I've been looking for one that would go over the bath's edge AND fit the tap/mixer with no luck. I am wondering whether the tap we're supposed to get is too short - that may be why it isn't fitted yet! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2013Dec 02, 2015 5:34 am Hi hi! Sorry I've been away, to be honest my brain is kind of full and I've been slipping with a few things. The last few days have been kind of hectic. I did a write up of PCI here: http://www.ecohomestyle.com.au/practical-completion-pci/ MalSannie Trixee that waterfall spout is so lovely - I've been looking for one that would go over the bath's edge AND fit the tap/mixer with no luck. I am wondering whether the tap we're supposed to get is too short - that may be why it isn't fitted yet! Thanks Mal. It took us ages to find this one and we were a bit worried it wouldn't have enough clearance but it juuuust fits! I think if it was a bit short they would have told you about it (surely?!) Unfortunately ours was fitted a bit loose which was picked up at PCI and is on the list. But it works! perthgirl16 That spa bath looks divineeeeeeee!!!! How exciting - I love reading your thread!!!! Thanks Perthgirl! I cannot wait to sink in and have a good soak. The supervisor was kind enough to fill the tub for us before we got there! Unfortunately the spa drain needs looking at, it drains way too slowly. We were all staring at it after I pulled the plug, going, "is that actually draining? I think so. Oh, maybe not. Wait, yes it is..." etc bryzza Hi Trixee, been following your build for awhile now and love everything your doing. Just read you blog on choosing curtains love it !! Do you mind me asking how much you budgeted for your curtains. Can't wait to see your pictures of the velvet curtains Hi Bryzza! I'll preface this by saying the curtains we chose weren't cheap! We were told to expect to pay around $20,000 for a full house. We got quoted slightly less. Consequently we've decided to do the main areas (living, master) first, and the rest later. If you PM me, I'll send you my quotes. jelbell55 Glad to hear PCI went well.... Keys soon!! Thanks Jelbel! The bank did their inspection on Monday apparently so I expect the cheque will be ready this week. We asked the builder to prepare the invoices early as we didn't want any holdups after PCI. So after PCI, the supervisor told us that everything would be fixed in the next week - what do you know, no progress for the last 2 days On the plus side, the madison box for our Telstra cable is in. The supervisor recommended we go through a mob called Cabling Innovations, as Telstra takes forever and cost is about the same. I rang them up, they were out the next day. Don't you wish everyone was that efficient? Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2014Dec 02, 2015 10:15 am Quick question for everyone - who are you using to get an antenna from? Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2015Dec 02, 2015 10:37 am Chiming in with fan appreciation I originally wanted the Haiku fans but we scaled back to a good Hunter Pacific model - still in black though. Your kitchen turned out spectacularly well, moody and modern. Good luck with handover! Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2016Dec 02, 2015 8:40 pm Our antenna has come from Intelligent Homes, part of our package, so not sure of cost. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2017Dec 02, 2015 8:59 pm Are you deff an antenna area? We have underground tv reception at ours so no antenna, just another thing the builder was meant to connect but hasn't do no tv for us until sorted :/ Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2018Dec 02, 2015 11:10 pm manderinne Chiming in with fan appreciation I originally wanted the Haiku fans but we scaled back to a good Hunter Pacific model - still in black though. Thank you manderinne! housebythewater Our antenna has come from Intelligent Homes, part of our package, so not sure of cost. I had a look at their website, but they don't seem to do "just antennas". archetto Are you deff an antenna area? We have underground tv reception at ours so no antenna, just another thing the builder was meant to connect but hasn't do no tv for us until sorted :/ I think so. We're in an old area so no NBN, just copper lines. We have underground power but that's as fancy as we get. Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2019Dec 02, 2015 11:13 pm Gee I find it hard to believe dawesville has more services haha we have copper too and apparently that's how we get tv through LBNco also known as ewire or fuzenet lol Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Trixee's Passive Solar Build Perth 2020Dec 02, 2015 11:30 pm I know right! We're so far behind here we're not even in the forecasted rollout plans yet. We're using Amnet, I wonder if they do it too then. 0 4982 I looked into it a few years ago and my conclusion was to just build a carport that will support panels and get a system installed separately. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17591 |
