Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building a Santorini 26 in Port Fairy 21May 08, 2015 2:05 pm Finally getting underway after a bit of a kerfuffle over the tank and its position. I was talked into getting a 22,550 l tank rather than 15,000 l because it's much cheaper on a per litre basis, but then it's too big to fit behind the garage. It would fit but only about a foot clearance, so it's now going down the back corner of the property. So they started scraping and found a lot of rocks just under the surface (I'll put a photo up at some point). They're relatively light, it being a volcanic area, but still! I'll have a look Sunday. The Metricon plumber has made recommendations for getting the tank organised...the roof will drain to a small tank beside the house, and then pump that to the larger tank down in the back corner. He thinks it will cost around $1500 for the materials. Concentrating on moving out into a furnished apartment on short-term lease next weekend, but I should be able to get down next Sunday. Removalist is in on Friday and storing everything in Warrnambool until move-in. Re: Building a Santorini 26 in Port Fairy 24Nov 03, 2015 12:26 pm Hi Slugger! Just wondering how it's all going?
