What an amazing "mistake". I am a big sucker for timber ![]() Your house and selections are gorgeous Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66299 Slab: 16/6/14 Frame: 4/7/14 Roof: 22/7/14 Lock Up: 20/8/14 Fixing: 26/8/14 PCI: 9/10/14 Handover: 20/10/14 Re: Building Metricon Fortitude32 - Bannockburn: TILING COMP 63Nov 17, 2014 9:40 pm thanks heaps guys, yeah we love the timber, such a god send, we were so disappointed when we couldnt afford it, i think the boss lady nearly cried but we got it in the end, BONUS! do you guys know much about PCI and post PCI, we have a few issues we can already see such as glass on one of the windows is scratched, and a few of the windows dont seem square and the trims are coming apart with seals warping etc, do things like this get picked up before PCI? a few mortar joins are insufficient and could do with some filling/topping up, is this being too picky? I reckon at pci they have the advantage as you will just want to get in. I'm lucky I had no major issues but I told them the same day when I did find something. I reckon at pci they have the advantage as you will just want to get in. I'm lucky I had no major issues but I told them the same day when I did find something. thats a good point, we went out the day after and they had started putting tape everywhere, so we ripped off a bit and stuck it in a few other places, today the bricky's came back to patch up the missing mortar, disappointingly enough though, they only patched the holes marked by the tape, they didnt bothered to look around for other spots, they havent touched anything else as of yet but they still have some more trades to come back our shower screens and mirrors were fitted on tuesday, we havent been in so no pics ![]() but today, or yesterday, or laminate flooring went in which is mega exciting Building the Metricon Fortitude 32 in Bannockburn http://tinyurl.com/oz79mm4 Coffee Stain - custom lighting, furniture & collectibles www.facebook.com/coffeestaincreations Re: Building Metricon Fortitude32 - Bannockburn: FLOORING 66Nov 21, 2014 10:35 am YAY for flooring!!! I just put a deposit down on our carpet yesterday. 'California Twist' 80/20 wool/nylon. I did a search on the web and can't find it but here on the first page of your thread. I looks like ours! OMG I LOVE your floors! We were going to get taupe polished porcelain tiles for living areas/downstairs in addition to dark choc carpet upstairs and front study/library downstairs. Now I want to get the dark brown 'plank' tiles that look like timber. I wanted them first but husband prefers porcelain. He doesn't mop though, neither does the dog. I think the dark brown plank tiles are back on the shopping list. ![]() Re: Building Metricon Fortitude32 - Bannockburn: FLOORING 72Nov 22, 2014 2:53 pm Choices look great, especially with the wall colour. And we've got a boofy dog with big claws ![]() hehe boofy. thats a good point Re: Building Metricon Fortitude32 - Bannockburn: FLOORING 76Nov 27, 2014 6:00 pm well the SS rang yesterday to give us an update he wanted to do PCI/walkthrough next friday, and dependant on certain things, handover the following friday. but, unfortunately, the window suppliers are holding us up with FLYSCREENS, grrr basically the way he says it works is, SS does a round of Quality Assurance, presents it to the construction manager, he does a round of QA, then they get a thorough clean, then they get an independent building inspector who does yet another round of QA, after that but before repairs we will goin in, do our PCI and add to the independent building inspectors faults, then trades come in, repair, then handover but, they cant present the house to the building inspector until the fly screens are in or he will just fail it anyways, sooo... we are playing the waiting game and it looks like the december 16 deliver of our flyscreens will push us in to next year ![]() Building the Metricon Fortitude 32 in Bannockburn http://tinyurl.com/oz79mm4 Coffee Stain - custom lighting, furniture & collectibles www.facebook.com/coffeestaincreations Re: Building Metricon Fortitude32 - Bannockburn: FLOORING 77Nov 27, 2014 6:09 pm Oooh that is so exciting - kind of...
