Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 31, 2014 9:50 am Recently I am planning to buy a land. I saw the agent post the advertisement in internet about selling this land, however, I saw one builder also selling this land and house package in internet as well,. When I contact the builder, the builder told me I need to talk with the agent first about the land but any quires on the building I can talk to them. I am confused now. I have no idea what is the difference between these two. Should I go to talk to agent about this land first? And then get the offer from agent? If I successfully buy the land from agent and secure our land , the next stage I should go to the builder to talk about the land and house package ? Or can I choose my own builder to build my house? Some people also mention about the site cost? What does site cost mean? Can builder give us the exactly amount of site cost? I am sorry, I donβt have any knowledge of buying land , I hope you can help me for my above question. Thank you for your time and looking forward to see your comments. Re: Buy land only or land and house package 3Jul 31, 2014 11:56 am If you buy the land you can choose any builder you wish. We were introduced to our parcel of land by one builder but found out we couldn't work with them (due to their reputation) so purchased the land through the land agent and contracted a different builder. My Build, viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64837 Re: Buy land only or land and house package 4Jul 31, 2014 12:05 pm my estate is apart of summit group. If you build with summit homes you get $10,000 off the house. We went with HGWA because we loved their plan better. Plus we picked out the house plan and then went looking for land. If we bought the land first the house plan we wanted wouldn't have fit. Looking at some of the designs on websites, they are all selling very similar products. I get that you want something stylish. It's worth looking for search terms like SaveH2O… 2 7010 13 6633 2 5503 |
