OHB i sold one of my son's many toys (which he doesn't use) and headed over to Bunnings to pick up that mop! Kinda feel bad but hope it's as great as everyone claims! I've been through so many but keep coming back to the old school mop + bucket. I guess it's because when mopping i have a large area and need to wash the mop several times to get clean floors. Probably wouldn't be the case if i had no children, lol Not sure how i feel about not having a bucket to rinse the cloth? I read on the pack that i may need to pull off the strip and wash in between mopping for large areas so will see how i go _______________________ KEYYYSSS!! ~ 14/10/15 viewtopic.php?t=72518 Our Build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72518 Re: KEYYYSSS!! 14/10/15 ~ First Home, Alkimos WA 283Dec 02, 2015 5:00 pm Aw that's sad that you had to sell one of his toys. I wish I could lend you some money but we are literally living off credit cards and our personal loan at the moment. Yeah they say just chuck it in the washing machine each time you finish using it. I think you can do most of it in one go? Unless it's super dirty and you might need to rinse a few times. I remember her also talking about the constant battle of keeping it clean! Re: KEYYYSSS!! 14/10/15 ~ First Home, Alkimos WA 292Dec 07, 2015 9:16 am I should be getting kids ready for school . But I had to comment on my fav subject ( not) lol . Iv given up . Mine should have someone in to clean them . But as I have so many kids I'm going to wait . To be honest it will do your head in . But after being in my home like a year and half I just mop and don't look at them anymore . I only mop once a week or I'll go crazy . And I have given up on keeping my grout clean . Ha ha . But I do have my days I could rip them up lol Re: KEYYYSSS!! 14/10/15 ~ First Home, Alkimos WA 293Dec 07, 2015 12:14 pm Dream_Catchers Abdolutely! But I do have my days I could rip them up lol Yes Melsie it is a nightmare and it's driving me nuts! I'm mopping every night at the moment, only to have foot prints everywhere by morning. It's doing my head in... Especially because the light that comes through the sliding door in the living room makes it all so visible. The grout is also a nightmare! I "sealed" the grout lines but don't notice much of a difference. I'm still having to get on my knees and scrub out mushed weet bix and splattered fruit lol I'm sure i too will give up soon enough. lol Wish i'd gone with floorboards!! _______________________ KEYYYSSS!! ~ 14/10/15 viewtopic.php?t=72518 Our Build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72518 Re: KEYYYSSS!! 14/10/15 ~ First Home, Alkimos WA 295Dec 07, 2015 12:30 pm Our Honeywood Build Dream_Catchers Abdolutely! It dries but then you walk and it leaves prints. I'm thinking i might try scubbing them with that stuff to remove tile haze (for the 3rd or 4th?) time, will be my last attempt though! lol _______________________ KEYYYSSS!! ~ 14/10/15 viewtopic.php?t=72518 Our Build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72518 Re: KEYYYSSS!! 14/10/15 ~ First Home, Alkimos WA 296Dec 07, 2015 12:32 pm Tried to take a pic, its not as noticable by photo but you might be able to see: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ _______________________ KEYYYSSS!! ~ 14/10/15 viewtopic.php?t=72518 Our Build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72518 Re: KEYYYSSS!! 14/10/15 ~ First Home, Alkimos WA 297Dec 07, 2015 12:50 pm Yeah good idea, when they lay then don't they rub some sort of stuff over the top? Or maybe that's just when they are wiping the grout off? Maybe give this stuff a try, I've heard heaps of good reviews from friends who have tiled floors Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ First Build, Commodore Homes, Honeywood, Wandi. viewtopic.php?t=77170 Re: KEYYYSSS!! 14/10/15 ~ First Home, Alkimos WA 298Dec 07, 2015 10:54 pm I use vinegar and boiling hot water . Still have a haze but I think I need to get someone in and give them a good clean . Are those tiles from imported ceramics . They look like a lady around the corners tiles she had the same problem . Everything use to stick to them . She built with a small builder who paid for them to be cleaned . I wish too that I had chosen something different .
